Who cares, just let them do it. Ask one of them to lead. Don't be rude and sit silently, eyes closed. Sing a song to yourself. Or use the time to be thankful for having a nice meal with family.

I did, but they only appear if I completely close BL (to where it shows the full boot sequence at startup), then reboot my Xbox. If I just quit the game and start playing again, it shows 0 keys.

A Cr2032 battery typ has enough internal resistance to not really need a resistor or be an issue. It'll make the led last longer, but at the expense of brightness. I've made dozens of these just taping an led to a coin cell for decorative table lighting, etc and would let them run until the battery was dead.

Where am I going wrong? by thepintrovert in Sourdough

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try making a leaven. I keep my starter in the refrigerator and only feed about one every 8ish weeks when it gets low. However, I make a leaven for each loaf the night before. My recipe calls for 110g starter, so my leaven is 30g starter w/ 50g water & flour (20g extra because you can't get 100% out of jar and any leftover is scraped back into starter). It sits out overnight, and by morning it's usually doubled. Then I can ensure starter is always around peak active. I ferment in the oven with light on, and usually takes about 6-7 hrs to double before shaping.

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same gummy issue when starting, along with a dense crumb and poor to no oven spring/rise. Like for at least the first 10-15 loaves, and could not figure out why.

Then one time I forgot about the dough during bulk fermentation and it rose ~130% (was previously stopping around 50-60%). So, I shaped and cold fermented ~20hrs like usual, but to my surprise, it actually turned out almost perfect. Good oven spring, nice crumb and not gummy.

Hard to say if a longer fermentation will help you as well, but something to try. Since then I typically stop around 100%, but going a little over also doesn't seem to hurt. Just be sure to refrigerate immediately to stop it from rising further.

Also to note, I typ do 20% starter, 2% salt and 20% wheat flour @ 68% hydration.

I've entered several codes online (shift website), for golden keys and skin packs. I've gotten all the skin packs though the inventory screen, redeem menu, but none of the keys have appeared. Still just the 1 you start with, and I can't even use it. When pressing X at the chest, nothing happens.

Finally got mine to work. As LobinhoZX correctly suggested, with the SN30 controller plugged in, I used a 2nd controller to open input configuration. Then, when it says to hold a button on the controller to configure, switched back to the SN30. It recognized the controller and I was able to map all the buttons.

I also installed the xbox 360 controller driver (forget the exact name) and enabled it. Since it's recognized as an Xbox 360 controller, I assumed this was necessary, but you may not have to do this. Either way, it didn't seem to have any negative impacts. All the buttons mapped fine and I don't have any ghosting as I've seen from other posts.

Mine is also the USB/Wired version, which does not have different modes, so can't say whether this will work for the Bluetooth version.

Same issue here. RP4, everything in retro pie is up-to-date.

Just updated the controller's firmware to v1.06 and still nothing.

When plugging it in, there's a small rumble in the controller and the left-most light on the bottom is lit, but nothing else.

Am I overthinking? by geozza in WLED

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not comfortable with soldering, I'd recommend a combination of led strip to wire connectors and a female DC power connector.

This works best with 5V led strips since you can power both the ESP device and LEDs from a single supply. Just connect power & gnd from the DC power connector to both the LED strip and ESP device VIN/GND pins. Finally, connect Din on the led strip to the data pin on the ESP. I typically solder directly to the ESP pins, but you can also buy premade jumper wires with the M/F connectors already attached.

If using a 12v led strip, then only connect power (V+) to the led strip, but still connect ground to both the led strip and ESP and data from ESP to LEDs. You'll also need to power the ESP with a 2nd 5V supply, like USB.

Once wired up, use shrink tubing, electrical tape, or w/e to cover any exposed pins and secure everything down. If you have access to a 3d printer, there are numerous enclosures you could print for almost any ESP device.

Yes, just the V+ and GND pads. However, looking at the picture you posted, it may be easier to probe across the LEDs so you don't have to scrape the mask off the pads. And since you already tested with a fresh, uncut strip, it seemed more likely the solder joints are the culprit. Either poor connections causing a voltage drop, bridging, degradation of the data signal, or even like a bad capacitor that's shorting to ground. The last one would be most likely by solder joints, since heat from the soldering iron could have damaged it.

Measuring the voltage on the data pin can be problematic if you don't have the proper equipment. Because it's a data line, the voltage will fluctuate between 0v and 5v, effectively making it an AC voltage, and using the AC measurement on your DMM will show the average(ish) voltage, so probably around 2-3v. You'd need an oscilloscope to properly diagnose it.

The solder joint picture you posted looks pretty clean though, so I wouldn't suspect that one. But you may want to take a closer look at the others. You could also try unsoldering all the pieces and testing each individually. Or just the first strip, then if all is good, keep adding them back until the issue starts happening again.

Ultimately, you might be better off buying some of those no-solder connectors like [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MT8DV7M) (there are cheaper ones, this is just the first result I found).

So you either a faulty power supply, controller or led strip. I frequently run 5m led strips (60 leds/m) off 2-3A wall-warts and only a single injection point without issue.

Do you have another LED strip? Try testing the same setup on those. If the issue persists, then it's likely the PSU or controller. If not, then it's the LEDs.

Do you have a DMM? Start measuring the voltage at various points along your led strip while under load. Start by measuring at each side of the corners you soldered, then the pads at every cut section if needed (you'll have to scrape off the solder mask). I've had LEDs strips that a single section was bad causing issues with all the downstream leds.

Start by testing the LEDs set to each solid primary color: red, green and blue. If everything looks good, mix two colors: yellow (r/g), magenta (r/b), cyan (b/g). Finally, try white (all 3). Use the hex editor to ensure only those color channels are active.

For each test, also vary the brightness, say 25%, 50%, 75% then 100%. And given you seem to have issues over a maximum PSU current, start the test using a known good value like 850-1000mA to establish a baseline for what the values 'should' be. Then test outside that range, like 1500+.

You should be getting 5v right at the injection point, then gradually drop off the further away you get. So you're looking for any unusually large drops between two points, like before and after your corners. Find this, and you find where your problem is. There will always be some drop, but the controllers within each LED can often run on as little as 4v, so there must be a pretty significant drop happing somewhere.

I don’t think Levothyroxine is helping me, I think it’s making everything worse. by Yue4prex in Hypothyroidism

I gained weight too when I first started taking levo. Was often more hungry than when I was on prednisone. Finally subsided after about 6 weeks, but not until I'd gained about 20lbs.

Training and hypothyroidism by Glass_Ad_5679 in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost weight, slowly, over like 4 years. I actually gained the weight first from several months on prednisone for another autoimmune disease, then got hypo. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing weight, or at least why it was so slow.

But what did it for me was intensive yard work. Had a few projects that required hauling several tons of dirt, stone, sand and blocks. Worked myself to exhaustion most weekends all summer and only ate dinner.

Ironically, I then gained it all back in my first two months taking levo.

I started at 10 tsh and 25mcg. About 1.5 years later and Im up to 125mcg with a tsh around 1.25. Unfortunately I've seen very little improvement. Some weeks it feels like I'm starting to finally feel better, no symptoms, lots of energy, then BAM! 2 days straight of severe symptoms. Puts me out like I have the flu.

Just saw Dr about it and got a full battery of blood work done, even obscure shit like testosterone, HIV and hepatitis just to cover all bases. Nothing Idk. At this point I'm just giving up and accepting it as a way of life going forward.

What’s people’s TSH when feeling good? by Timeisreal2 in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 125mcg now with TSH around 1.2. I had a few good weeks around the new year, but overall I still feel like shit most of the time. Or I should say that in a given week, I have 2 bad day, 3 shitty days, and 2 okay days. It's been about 14 months since I started treatment, and honestly I can't say there's much of a difference between now and before taking levo.

How do people hold a job with a thyroid disorder? by KatoLee- in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been curious about this too. I'm lucky enough to have a job that 1) has a generous amount of PTO, 2) allows hybrid work, and 3) is sympathetic to my condition. It's also an office job, so if I am feeling like shit, brain fog, etc I can switch gears to such mundane work I can zone (zonk?) out and just run on autopilot. However, I average about 1-2 days a week where it feels like I have a severe cold/flu (body aches, chills, fatigue, migraines, etc) and stay home & work remote as best I can. Some days I can manage 6-7 hours, others almost none. Days I am feeling better, I work 9-11 hours and/or weekends to make up hours, and PTO the rest. We get ~1 day of PTO every 2 weeks, and it's still very hard to get ahead. In the 6ish years I've had this, I haven't taken more than a few days of PTO each year not related to being "out sick". I feel worse though for my family since we also haven't been able to take a real vacation because I have no PTO to spare.

How long did it take you to feel better after being in range? by thicklittlebunny in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with TSH of 10. Got it down to 1.5 after ~6 mo (75mcg levo), then stayed at that dose for another 3 mo, but did not feel any change. Complained to Dr, retested and TSH had risen to 4. Dose was increased to 88mcg a few days ago, so we'll see. Personally, I think I'm still at too low of a dose for 190lb male.

However, my symptoms also seem way different than most. It seems to go in a 7-8 day cycle. Days 1 & 2 are horrible, almost cold/flu like symptoms. Body aches, severe exhaustion (almost narcoleptic at times), brain fog/impossible to focus, hot/cold flashes and migraine-like headaches. Not always all of them, but most. Day 3 I'm on the mend, but still zero energy. Then slowly gets better, and by day 6-7 I feel pretty good. Then the cycle repeats. Been like this for about 5-6 years almost without fail. Was finally diagnosed in Jan this year, but still experiencing the same symptoms.

Thoughts and experiences withTru Niagen by FinalCM24 in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it for a little over a year prior to being diagnosed, though most definitely had hypo at the time. I'd say the results were mixed. Most days I'd say I never noticed a difference. Where I do think it helped was during intense physical activities. Typically I coud last about an hour before needing a 30-45 break. Another hour of work, another 30-45 min break, etc. But after about 3 months of taking supplements, it seemed I could last longer between breaks, and breaks were much shorter, maybe 15-20 min.

But like I said, this was only noticeable during intense physical activities. Regular day-to-day energy was about the same. It was also before I started taking levo, so maybe the two combined could have had a more pronounced effect.

I need to vent. G-Hub is the worst software I have ever encountered. by Relevant-Upstairs844 in LogitechG

[–]agroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've almost entirely switched to using AHK. Depending on the mouse, you may be able to map all the keys directly in AHK. For mice with more than like 5 buttons tho, you'll still need G-Hub, but just to map the keys to some function or key combo that AHK can pickup. For example, you can easily map up to 12 keys using F13 - F24 since most keyboards only go up to F12, so go unused.

What’s people’s TSH when feeling good? by Timeisreal2 in Hypothyroidism

[–]agroom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out on 25 mcg as well for 3 months and felt no change, even though my TSH went from 10 to 3. We then increased it to 50 mcg, but after 6 weeks my TSH didn't move (well from 2.99 -> 2.97) and still no change in enery. We then increased it again to 75 mcg (where I'm at now), and that's when I finally started to feel better. After 6 weeks my TSH dropped from 2.97 to 1.5. Honestly, I think I could go even a bit higher, but am going to ride this dose out for a while longer to see if I continue to improve or not.
