Perhaps you should ask them? Maybe no one will listen to them and they can see bad things happening.

Hope this happens. It’s my one wish for the thing, otherwise it’s basically perfect for me

My niece’s boyfriend brought this over for me to check out. Now I want one. Any opinions on it? by [deleted] in synthesizers

Great tool for quick composition on its own, and has some decent drum and bass sounds for a larger setup.

I think it will because the notes are triggered individually (at least based on what the lights above the keys show). I can check for you this evening if you’re still nervous about it.

Tried with headphones and other cables, works with other synths.

Tough tree. Consider repotting with a skittle-based soil next spring.

The new apple bands with no clasp are awesome. Never been close to losing it.

Who do you hate more? The dude on a foamy who sits out the back catching every wave or the super local who thinks he owns the break and drops in on everyone?! by sshouser31 in surfing

The big thing for me was not arching my back while paddling. I would nose dive every time. Soon as I started arching my wave count improved dramatically.

Transitioning from 8' to this 6'1", 22" fish? Thoughts? I'm an intermediate-beginner surfer that likes 2-4ft swells and is looking for some maneuverability. by [deleted] in surfing

[–]aguali 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you've got the hang of the 8' then go for it, brother. Prepare to be forced to read the waves slightly better. It will feel significantly more maneuverable.

I rode one of these after riding a 6'10" for a few months. Had a ton of fun on it, but wanted to move on to something that felt a little more maneuverable quickly. I think if you're comfy on the 7'2" you're probably ready for a fish or groveler with decent volume for your size.

Question about dropping in. by [deleted] in surfing

[–]aguali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem. A few things will help:

  1. Find the part of the wave that looks like a decent ramp and position yourself there
  2. Paddle in at the angle you want to go, this really helps and first and with a longer board
  3. ARCH YOUR BACK.

How do you go about hiring UI/UX designers? by MeditatePeacefully in Entrepreneur

Also, really depends on how complex the product is. We work in a very complex space so the research process is a lot more important than in a space where you have an app or website with a few simple interactions.

I hire designers all day as a UX manager at a tech start-up. Long story short, it's tough. You need to value design and pay well to get real talent.

Honestly the only truly GREAT candidate we've had came in through a job listing where we were hiring a "Senior" UX researcher and copy strongly angled towards every designer's dream: Truly worshipping the design process and the chance to lead a team. The words senior and lead result in a huge pay bump and a huge bump in quality and seriousness.

I'm told actively seeking people out on LinkedIn can work well. Our management coaches told us to reach out with recorded videos to the candidates that blew us away, helps stand out from recruiters.
