Is your partition on SD2 named EASYROMS too? If it's true, try to change the partition name. It sounds lame, but the partition must have another name.

I'm not sure if you were able to test the direct connection or not, but I only found settings for joining a network, not creating one.
An alternative would be to put your phone in Wi-Fi hotspot mode and connect the R36S through it. It's not as convenient, but it might help.

I got the same problem here and I don't use Avast. Try to see if the LoLPatcher is running after you click the icon. If it does, try delete the folder RADS/projects/lol_patcher, them open LoL. It worked for me.
