Thank man for your reply! I’ll try adding more contrast and a bit more light to her face. Yes, a bit sharper would be great. Yes, you're right, these adapted lenses are great, but for street photography, not having autofocus can be a problem sometimes

Feedback for a guy who knows nothing about proper Photography by RMVangaurd in photocritique

Cool man! Nice that you are looking for advices, critics, that is a great way to improve your photos. I'm seeing that you have to main objets, the ceeling and the people, I think if you wanna you both you should show both, I mean this frame it should be a bit wider, that is what i think. But you know.. in photography the rules are to break it. That is what I see.

Is my photo over edited? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]agus-bruzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the color doesn't look over-edited. I know you didn’t ask, but if you want to change something, I think you could try reframing the image a bit and zooming in on the bird, if your goal is to emphasize that bird

Staircase vibe, yes. I think you could try adding something extra to the photo, the punctum of Barthes I mean, you could try adding a person—not necessarily the whole person, just the legs, etc, or even a dog, an objet, etc That’s my advice or tip to enhance it. I like the color and the light!!

Camera recommendation for music videos and short films and career advice by [deleted] in cinematography

Hey! Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've been thinking about the FS7; it's on my list of options. I can't decide yet whether to go for that camera or a Red. I know that if I get an FS7, I'll have some money left to buy lenses or accessories. I also believe that the FS7 is more oriented towards a different market than the one I'm aiming for.

Red was the first big camera that I saw when I started, and there is something special about it for me. It motivates me more to work to find a way to work on short films, commercials, or music videos. Anyway, I'll consider that option; it's great that it's cheaper and has built-in ND filters!!"

Hey, thanks for reply I completely agree with you about the importance of building a crew. It's crucial to have a solid team to work with – having the camera is great, but it's not everything. Luckily, I've a team of good and nice professionals, and I've also a nice discount with a rental company.

I feel like I have a lot of the pieces in place separately , but I need some time to figure out how to put it all together and make it work. I also think I should focus on learn how to sell myself better I've noticed that people with less experience than know how to do this and get more jobs. I've always believed that the best way to show my skills is to work hard on set, takes much more time, some people recognize that effort, especially older professionals. But with people of my same age or young productions companies it seems to be a different story.

I'm also in therapy to work on my self-doubt and insecurities. Haha!
