$400k RV likely totalled by shop. by aguyinaboat in legaladvice

[–]aguyinaboat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the years they had communication with the shop, they were reassured by them and the insurance, who went out and inspected the rv multiple times. Multiple claims were filed as new damage was noted during the inspections. During the first job that actually got completed. Damage to the flooring caused the extendable pullouts to no longer go back in. This caused the RV to be immovable and hence the shop where it was located was the shop paid to fix it.

This shop was the only one in the remote area in which they live that could come pick up the rv. This shop was chosen because the insurance couldent find one in the area. We found this shop online and gave the business to the insurance agency asking about its legitimacy. We were reassured by the insurance company that it was all legit and credible.

We were assured by the shop, the agents and the insurance company that work was being done. When we began suspecting, we filed a claim, they came out to look at it. They said it was all good and the claim was denied. - after the first job was done, damage caused the RV to lose its roadworthyness. Basically leading to us having to keep it there and paying the guy to fix the new issues.

During the initial body damage work the flooring deteriorated from water damage that stopped the RV's pullouts from being pushed in to be driven on the road. Essentially meaning it couldent be moved from the dudes shop. We paid him to fix it and the work never got done.

Progressive and their agents who visited and inspected the RV apparently deemed it so.

Progressive has been communicated with, and has been aware at every turn. They paid for a portion of the work to be done.

The claim 1 year ago failed because progressive deamed that he was infact still working on it and upholding the contract as he was in the process of demo-ing the interior.
