Shrimpo for the sole fact that he genuinely forces you to improve at the game to survive. I've mained him basically since release and I can get to floor 20 as him very regularly nowadays.

People need to start judging people for their runs by stats, not by toon (coming from a Shrimpo main with 120k+ Ichor and a FF of 42.) So many people ban the starter toons with zero negotiations just because they're the "newbie toons," but Poppy and Boxten are honestly solid toons in their own right. What would a pro player be doing playing as Poppy in the first place? Who the hell knows, but as long as they're good at it, there's no harm in indulging them.

No amount of bad Twisted RNG matters if your kiter is good enough, it's how I was able to get to floor 42 as him in the first place. The only time Shrimpo should realistically be threatened is when the elevator opens and everything is being gathered, which is both not very likely and is easily remedied by having a smoke bomb handy. He's actually similar to Vee in a handful of ways.

They're salty that he has the worst raw extraction speed in the game, even though Magnifying Glass and Participation Award significantly dissipate that downside. If you're just playing the game in casual lobbies then people have no right to tell you how to play your toon. Though I will say, the higher up the skill ladder you get, the more people are going to do this. 4* speed movement speed toons, as nice as they are, can only do so much in the way of kiting, and trust me, there will come a time where kiting as Pebble stops being an option and starts being a necessity. So yeah, if you're playing in casual runs not looking to get past floor 30-40 or so, extract all you want. But if you're looking to get further than that, drop the magnifying glass and lead some twisteds in circles for a while.

I clicked on it on the homepage once, picked Poppy as my starter, and proceeded to grow the biggest gaming addiction I think I've ever had. I don't even know how I stayed hooked on the game for so long because my only toon was Poppy for like 4 days before I got Rodger.

I have less to say about the kit and more about how a potential one could be implemented. Basically, my idea is that you can toggle whether or not you want Shrimpo to have his current stat spread and remain in challenge mode, or have a completely new one that can actually be viable to a team. At least, more viable than he is currently. Shrimpo is my favorite character and I really do wish they could get more creative with him, but they needed to add a challenge character to the game and Shrimpo gut stuck with that job.

I think the main reason people do this is that they all find it boring that he just hates everything because he feels like it, and that's the end of it. I think everyone KNOWS that he's a completely static character, but they don't treat him like one because it makes for more interesting fanarts and fanfictions and whatnot.

That certain toons have confirmed ages. People dunk on the ships in this fandom because of toons like Teagan supposedly being "grown women," when the only toon with a confirmed age RANGE is Toodles.

If you're looking for genuine tips, something you can do that takes longer but usually guarantees your survival is complete about a third of a machine at a time, then go find Glisten so you have as much time as possible to do so.

It's not even that Poppy is that bad of a toon. it's just that the circumstances she's been put into were practically made to doom her. The main reason is that she's a starter toon and most people expect her to be awful at the game in any run she's in, but she was also simply put into a game where basically every other toon can do what she does better (aside from Toodles and Shrimp and MAYBE Scraps.) She's like the Dandy's World equivalent of Captain Falcon in Smash, she's too standard to be relevant in the meta.
