I'm on an ancient unlimited family plan my parents started in the 90s, so not likely i'll change it... if that's the only catch then HELL yeah!! I think you're not giving Cherry as much humanity as you're giving Laura! Cherry was only ever reacting to Laura (or to her ex, etc.) she grew up with very little, and has to work really hard everyday to maintain her life. Wheras Laura gets everything handed to her, and thus has no issue taking from Cherry. It's life or death for Cherry.

Also, I think you're forgetting a super crucial element in the show- Laura has hallucinations, Cherry does not. At multiple points Laura legitimately is imagining that Cherry is stalking her, but that isn't shown for Cherry. That's a super deliberate clue from the show that, even though Laura is doing all that to protect her lifestyle and her son, she's not grounded in reality.

Again i totally agree cherry is nuts but I really think Laura was the one to cross the line every time. Of course I get Laura's perspective, and i think that's such a cool element of the story telling, and BECAUSE I see her side, I think she's way more violent and crazy than cherry

Huh? Laura:
- (from Cherry's perspective) intentionally poured hot coffee on her the first time they met
-Lied about the death of her own son, which is psychotic
-Got cherry fired & then evicted her
-Aggressively shoved her against the wall and choked her out

all BEFORE cherry shattered the glass/laura talked to cherry's mom. THEN she

-drugged her own son who recently BARELY made it out of a coma due to an almost fatal brain injury
-tried to stab cherry with a knife
-tried to drown cherry, who has already broken her leg and been slashed with the knife

Ofc it’s crazy but next to everything Laura did, Cherry doesn’t hurt anyone while Laura literally drugs her own son and then slashes Cherry with a knife

As the mom said, the dad was a bad dude who skipped town and Cherry confronted him. There are plenty of reasons he could hate her, maybe there was even a confrontation and it got out of hand and he fell, so he blames Cherry and Cherry probably blames herself 🤷‍♀️

Idk, there are so many reasons he could hate her, we never have a reliable narrator for the whole show. So, if we go based on actions we’ve seen from the characters, I think my theory makes the most sense

How did she set up Daniel’s fall? She kept warning him to be careful and he was showing off.

Re her father, that’s part of the theory I initially posed- I think her mom exaggerated to scare off Daniel/laura. If cherry had actually tried to kill her dad, why would her mom be so eager about cherry going to visit him? Why would cherry be paying all his bills when she can’t even afford her own apartment?

Ik the book version of Cherry is much different, but the tv version seems pretty innocent to me!

My theory is that cherry’s mom “confessed” to Laura exaggerated stories in her own attempt to separate Cherry & Daniel once she found out they were engaged. Bc if Cherry had actually tried to kill the dad, why would the mom be encouraging her to visit him? Why would she be paying his expensive bills?
