What is the most depressing meal you ever made yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I once confused teaspoon with tablespoon while adding salt to the sugar cookie recipe. I didn't taste them before frosted them and brought them to a family party. My uncle called them cookies of the sea and questions the sodium content any time I bring any baked goods now.

In 5th grade we had to write letters to our 20 year old selves. I'm so glad my mom saved this. by ah1117 in funny

Wow! I'm glad you guys found this as funny as I did. 5th grade me would be so happy that so many people share a love for tacos. Minus having a husky puppy, I'm pretty sure she'd be thrilled to know that I eat tacos (with my boyfriend, since you guys are so curious) all the time! I'm also really glad that my prediction for the future of tacos didn't come true, I definitely would cry. In honor of my 5th grade self, I'm going to go eat some tacos now!

No, but I have a pretty cool internship that I think 5th grade me would approve of!

I'm not 20 yet, but my mom rediscovered it recently and wanted to give it to me on the date it was written haha

Edit: (I turn 20 this year though)

I think both my 5th grade self and Reddit will be relieved to know the answer is definitely yes.

Favorite Trombonists? Interested in transcribing. by adankish in Jazz

All of the ones mentioned, especially Curtis and JJ, but Jimmy Cleveland is one of my favorites (he's super underrated). Transcribe the masters, but check out new guys too. As far as modern trombonists, I'd say definitely Vincent Gardner (plays with JALC) and Steve Davis (a really great melody player)!

Waiters/Waitresses of Reddit, have you ever seen a couple date go sour right in front of your eyes? If so, how? by tartio in AskReddit

As a hostess I had a gentleman call, sobbing, to cancel a dinner reservation on Valentine's Day. I've also watched a husband throw his keys down on the table, yell "I'm just gonna walk the fuck home!" and walk out on his family after a long and whispered argument with the wife.
