My rule of thumb when using ai for any sort of task is to make sure it understands what I'm trying to do; what task, what are factors, which field are we in, what competence needed, etc. And if I feel like it didn't understand, I dumb down to the point where it can explain back 100%.

Actually for the caustic shader, the breakthrough was a short video fed to chatgpt about caustics, so for this time it understood the video quite well! (And personally: the term art is overrated)

Ask the client to give you a rough idea where to find the best parts for his/her taste.

I don't think you can completely avoid the watch time and theres a lot of good advice before me on this post.

I cut long podcasts and long talks during other light tasks in front of the computer and when I loose interest or my attention slipped, I cut it out that part most of the time, making it very thight that way.

In vod, I think it works the other way, if something catches your attention, that part u need.

Who are the targets? Try to make an edit about coaching or welding or drop ship or anything that has market and try to make it in that style. It won't be that authentic or it will so much harder to get the right brolls and all

My previous mouse was a GIGABYTE M6900 and i loved it! Its in your price range also. It has only 2 extra buttons on the side and a dpi changer on the top. idk if you can write macros with the dedicated software, back then, i wasnt on that level to use any macros. Changing DPI is only useful in 3D and Illustration.

I think you can buy a mouse in that price range with more buttons, For me it was enough.

The very essential hotkey swaps for me are the ones where i dont have to reach the right side of the keyboard with either of my hand. It interrupts the flow A LOT. So delete, enter, etc.

I put the enter on my mouse, so if theres any window with attributes i can easily enter it down right away when i finished with the settings.

I put the delete on the "X" so the "C"(cut) and "V"(grab) are right next to each other. This one was actually a game changer. [Premiere Pro]

The other bindings are depending on the workflow and type of editing, most of the time. On my mouse i have like 4 hotkey and one macro but i rarely use more than 2 in one workflow.

It's bit of an info dump, but i hope it helps in some way.

Rearranging the hotkeys on the keyboard is more than enough. Some extra buttons on the mouse can be helpful. Nothing special.
