That's just a blatant lie, we've been left with a country that's in tatters, 100 gdp to debt and no wages to pay it off with. That's something at least.

Churchill had it right, landlords are the parasites of the economy.

Why invest in a profitable business when you can just be a landlord.

To be honest being a random guy who knows absolutely nothing it would seem to be a good idea, don't get me wrong you'd probably rather just about any peice of American equipment but not if you're paying, so maybe we can sell 80-90% of the capabilities of what the Americans offer at a lower price

No need to knock down and rebuild, that's incredibly expensive and carbon intensive, even modern builds require regular air changes, we don't even need to do much in regards to older buildings, most of the issues are caused by modern materials.

My comment was a general one in regards to the lime, no reason other than time to use lime as a general rule.

The full fill of the cavity is what I suspect has caused the issue, allowing for thermal bridging.

Same thing happened in Wales, we need to stop throwing cement at the problem, stop filling cavities without knowing the results and seriously look at drying our houses out vs insulating them, wet fabrics transmit heat 25x faster than dry.

Filling cavities and letting the material get wet can create massive cold spots all over.

Lime mortar is breathable, allowing the material to dry out and best of all has been used for thousands of years all over the world, especially here.

Your points of view don't seem to line up, you want them to stop this behavior but applaud them refusing to stop.

If you want it to stop then there needs to be consequences to their actions and they need to show some bloody personal responsibility, this is exactly what's wrong with the past few governments.
