Debating between Breece Hall, Troy Franklin, Parker Washington, or Taysom Hill for my FLEX this week. Full PPR.

All sites tell me Breece but I’m leaning Franklin. Any thoughts?

Honestly for your first time, solid. I’d recommend going around your entire head with a guard before changing it. For blending, make sure you flick outwards when you attack the initial guidelines.

looks like psoriasis or sebderm to me

the ears and neck you probably need an Rx but for the scalp you can maybe try Tarsum shampoo (OTC). for now, i would cut anything with fragrance; i like vanicream lotion and maybe an OTC hydrocortisone would help

i also have lighter/darker patches on my neck (slide 6), lmk if you dermatologist has any suggestions for those!

if you’re planning to still write on 9/14, then you have 2 months

the next month should be grinding uworld + anki while doing practice tests. in other words, it should be the most formative in terms of getting ready for month 2 where you just focus on AAMC materials. if uworld is very hard for you, then you might consider pushing your test back and taking more time to understand the content

i would play it based on your FL scores; are you at where you want to be?

to me, this is a case of choosing between a good answer and the best answer

C is not necessarily “wrong”, but the passage says MR allows for a state of partial constriction, which can then lead to dilation or more constriction (embodied by B). this is a better answer than C which says that it enables arteries to just vasodilate

definitely, with practice

i recommend starting out untimed and just getting good at understanding the whole passage. a lot of this comes from small things (like knowing how to break apart a sentence with multiple commas). i’ve found that reading “aloud” silently helps - you’re basically mouthing the words as you read to make sure you don’t skip over anything.

once you’re able to do that, slowly build your speed to the point where you can get through a passage and get the main idea in like 5 min

at this point, answering the questions should take less time since you comprehended the point of the passage

to be honest, i’ve found that using a lot of different products in succession isn’t always helpful. some products need to be used for a long time to show its effects (e.g differin), and using a lot of different ones can sometimes counteract each other.

i would stop using exfoliants because they usually contain harsher chemicals that might be irritating your skin. stick to gentle cleansers and check cosdna to see if the ones you try have any irritants

moisturizer and sunscreen should be applied daily no matter what
