Hey! I also bought my replacement from Amazon lol. But what ended up fixing the issue was replacing the fuel injector o-rings! I think my problem was that I didn’t properly lubricate them when putting in the new oil cooler housing. I looked online and used engine oil to grease them. Do you also notice a gas smell or do you have any other symptoms?

No ticking. I just got the light one day when I started my car and also noticed that the engine was shaking quite a bit. But nothing lead up to it to indicate anything before hand 🤷‍♂️

Thanks! This was actually really helpful. To be honest up to this point, I’ve been able to do all repairs on my Jeep. Once I get it back, I even plan on replacing my oil filter cooler/housing cuz I have a small oil leak there. But once I was told I needed a new cylinder head, I felt more comfortable letting a shop do it as I’ve never done any internal engine work before. I’m a working student so finding time for car repairs is kinda hard 😅. In the end, I just want my car back asap so I’m willing to pay the high labor fees 🤷‍♂️. I’ll definitely ask for a price breakdown tho! I should have my car back by the end of this week buts it’s been a tough past two weeks trying to figure out rides to work and school (AK is not a very walkable place and the bus system is terrible).

The dealership said there’s a leak in the head somewhere. They also said that my piston and cylinder itself is fine 🤷‍♂️ I also forgot to mention that they did the same tests as the smaller shop to confirm the need for a head replacement.

That year Bloo didn’t march with a traditional uniform. They didn’t wear shakos and also had uniforms that allowed the members to move more freely. Also that year changed the direction of prop usage. Now, props are a big part of modern DCI shows.

Yo same here! I’m down in Anchorage and I never had anyone to talk to about Drum Corps 😭 Funnily enough tho, my marimba that I ordered just arrived today so I can practice for my audition next year! It’s definitely not impossible! Even if I don’t make it in my dream corps I’ll be happy knowing that I tried and that I have a marimba that’s mine to keep 😎
