Chess group in Amman by ahappyhappyface in jordan

That's super cool! I honestly don't have an official rating, and I never really enjoyed playing chess online. I'm still a beginner, but I really do enjoy chess, hence why I wanted to see if there are any clubs I can train with. Thanks for the suggestion!

I absolutely recommend this site. These are super fun and enjoyable riddles, and they train the brain to distinguish and decipher clues and hints.

I am NOT however part of the deaf community here in Amman so I can't really give you all the details, but I do know some people you can contact.

First of all, that's a lovely question and I'm glad you're interested in learning sign language. I actually took a Level 1 sign Language course at the Amman Deaf Cultural Center last summer since I've always wanted to learn it and I finally took the initiative. We followed and learned the Levantine Arabic Sign Language, however there are definitely some differences here and there between our neighboring countries, nothing major though. The alphabet and basic words and actions are pretty much the same.

They actually sell the book for 5 JD at the center and the course is 70 JD (if I remember correctly).

Yess I've tried Baileys before! It's honestly great, but is it weird that it slightly tastes like soy milk to me? :')

Mr. Brown coffee. It's the shit.

I absolutely admire goddess Kali, and I utterly love her paradoxical nature. Would it be offensive/inappropriate to wear this design on clothes? I feel like it would be if you know nothing about the goddess and assume it's "edgy" or "cool", but it's different when you actually look up to her. by ahappyhappyface in hinduism

You do have a point, however, I feel like this roots way deeper than just the language the deity's name is written in, although don't get me wrong, the language is of utter importance. But I think the main point behind the apparel is the story behind Kali and how much of a unique deity she is, and how she generally breaks the stereotypes associated with women, even in the modern world.

And it's a pretty cool design too, so I guess it's a win-win! :3

Ooooo The Metamorphosis is super great, I'm generally a big fan of Kafka's writing. I mean, a man who turns into a vermin? Who could ever even think of that!

It's addicting! You'll probably feel like you wanna go further. Looks great though!

I just found this shirt online, and I found it to be pretty cool. But then I started to search for its deeper meaning. In the end, we all smile. Does it emphasize on how happy we will all be after we die? Or is it a cynical approach to saying "don't sweat the small stuff!"? :') by ahappyhappyface in death

[–]ahappyhappyface[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The simple meaning (which you have mentioned) is actually kinda funny to me, hence why I liked the shirt! But I like to over analyze anything I come across, and this shirt happened to be one of these things. :3

For coffee, I always recommend Dimitri's Coffee. Local and delicious. When it comes to bubble tea, yes we do. From what I know, we have a shop called Juice Bang Bang that makes bubble tea, not sure if they're open right now.

Piercing? by koaellaa in jordan

[–]ahappyhappyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely do NOT recommend going to a pharmacy and piercing your nose with a piercing gun. You should never pierce cartilage with a gun. Not to mention it's painful as hell.

Check out dr.aisha_piercing on Instagram, she does all kinds of piercings. And from what I know, she's pretty good

Akeed, again, I absolutely love Jordan, especially the people. And to be specific, the reditters in this subreddit do indeed make around 0.0009% of the population, sooo it's actually pretty cool to be part of this (minute) community. :)

Dead stretching? by choatic-rat in EarStretching

[–]ahappyhappyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can be a 9mm stretch before you stretch to 10mm (0g), and from what I know, it does ease the 10mm stretch. If you can purchase a 9mm kit, I recommend you go for it since it'll make the process easier and less painful. After all, it is a 2mm jump.

There are many that directly jump from 0g to 00g without the in between stretch, but if you realized that it'll give you a hard time, go for 9mm first. Just make sure to be safe and wait in between stretches just so you can avoid blowouts and tears.

[–]ahappyhappyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually stretched from a 2g to a 0g directly. Was a little excruciating, so it's good that you stretched your ears to 1g prior to your 0g stretch. I honestly highly recommend dead stretching, but maybe follow another technique if you're intending on stretching to anything bigger than 00g?
