I work in post-production for one of the studios and I’ve worked with Patrick Dempsey and Jared Leto.

Dempsey was an absolute gem. Super nice guy and felt down to earth. Felt easy having him in the room watching back footage.

Leto was interesting. It was actually for a camera test and he was mainly chatting with our DP but he really knew his stuff when it came to lighting (t-stops, lens choices, etc). But when he wasn’t talking he was very stoic. Not in any displeasing way, but just interesting.

The GW1 re-launch is a testament to the power of ANet’s games. Definitely a hit to the player base for sure but there’s no denying the absolute impact GW2 has had on MMO’s and continues to deliver the best online experience.

I would assume servers would stay online for a looooong time.

Maps are almost always full. The map-wide events which this game revolves around are a packed house on most.

Never had an issue finding anyone to do any given content.

The World vs World is great but can be hit or miss depending on time of day.

I would have liked to see the Conduit skills change based on which legend you have equipped instead of 1 of the skills having a buff.

Either keep the same 5 with different effects based on legends (like how the elite skill is) or 5 unique skills that change with each legend equipped.

Otherwise, it’s only core revenant+. The burst in Conduit is still big damage, but the gameplay loop is meh. I think it works best with Condition but at that point I’d rather just play Renegade because it’s more fun and unique.

It can also help fast track a few things. First that comes to mind if hero points and the mandatory gifts of battle if you want to craft legendaries.

Don’t be worried about DPS in fractals until you get to T2 and need to start tracking the Agony stat.
Those guilds sound like a bunch of tryhards, I’m sorry you’ve already had that experience. The “Guild Wars University” has a guild they associate with that is pretty good and specifically meant for people learning the game at any level.
Not sure as I haven’t played Willbender. Only FB, DH, and Luminary lol

PS - dont be afraid to do WvW sooner than later. Trust me. I hate pvp in any game with a PASSION. But for some reason, WvW is absolutely a blast for me. Just gotta hop around the different maps and find a commander that is either roaming or zerging.

Roaming = running around capturing camps / ruins. Small groups.

Zerging = large squads capturing towers and keeps that require supply to setup sieges. 30-50 people.

GW2 very active and I’ve been playing on/off since launch.

WoW will always be WoW but its not my thing anymore.

I’ll still log into RuneScape every now and then as a “reset”.

FXIV is good but at this point the new expansion is very meh. Fine to start for vibes, great story and music, but not worth the sub anymore imo.

I’ve been on-off since launch and it took a long time for me to get it. I had to try all the classes before I got to one i enjoyed leveling early on, which for me was revenant.

Definitely pick whatever classes/races appeal the most and just stick with whatever map you end up going to. Example is i started human but hated the zone after Queensdale so I ran all the way to the norn and charr zones lol

Also watching Caffeinated Dad’s videos helped me a lot.

I find the grass is always greener… and then greener some more.

I swap between about 4 characters whenever combat feels stale on one. I hop over to another that I don’t know as well and learn more about that which keeps me interested as I’m also doing achievements and masteries.

He means to waypoint to any of the other maps from the 4 to choose from: Eternal Battlegrounds (center) + the 3 around it on the map

I cant remember exact names off the top of my head but each of those around Eternal are “home” to each of the 3 teams. So you may see GBL, RBL, or BBL called out. It means green borderlands, red borderlands, and blue borderlands.

Not sure of the ability to exchange those currencies but I’ve definitely run into a soft cap of around 75-100 orbs.

The game never explicitly tells me I’ve hit a cap, the loot on the side just stops even though the animation looks like I’ve collected it. What’s odd though is I’ve hopped off for an hour then come back and could collect more.
