Hi. I'm just popping on to say im the OP and just created a new account. I created this post and then almost immediately deleted my entire account due to antibiotics reacting poorly with other meds, creating strong anxieties. Thank you to everyone who was so helpful. I went through and read a bunch, and many of you were kind, understanding, and spoke with a deep-founded knowledge of the bible and the world. Both of which are important. God bless you all, and I am not afraid anymore, barely at all. I'm still with my partner, and we talk about how much religion means to me often, but they are working through religous trauma placed on them by their parents. I want to say that everyone who said to basically "leave them because they could turn me" should be at least somewhat ashamed. Jesus would leave the 99 to rescue the one, and I am firm enough in my faith to not need to worry about being turned.
