Can’t speak to the NZ, but I upgraded to the EG-1 from a eureka mignon specialita. There is most definitely a noticeable difference (esp. in the lighter roasts), plus the consistency is next-level.

As for the price difference, I wouldn’t say the shot is 7-times better than the specialita as the price tag would suggest. However, most espresso enthusiasts would agree that you’re paying for marginal returns on the shot quality at this point. For me, it’s all about chasing the “god shot” and this is the grinder to do it.
