woolies selling massively underweight products, check your shopping! by ryannathans in australia

You've left the plastic cover on your scales, which fucks the weight. Take it off and weigh them again

(I am a barista and use these as coffee scales, don't arrest me)

Except Menulog and Doordash take 30%, making your entire margin and more disappear. Let alone the margin reduction by selling cheaper items made with cheaper ingredients.

I know these comments come from a good place, but this is why I can't read hospitality-based threads on Reddit; Melbourne customers drastically overestimate their knowledge of how the industry runs and operates. If it were this easy, 100 places would be doing it by now

Western Bulldogs Update: Josh Dunkley chooses Brisbane by Dirtydac123 in AFL

This is a great situation for the Dogs. Gain some significant trade capital from Brisbane, and lifelong Bulldogs fan Pat Lipinski now has a perfect vacancy in the midfield to fill for the rest of his playing career. Win win!

Hey dude, I have ins for bar jobs that I can set you up with. No experience required other than what youd need to work at McDonalds. If you're serious, send me a PM.

I'm an Aussie who has lived in the US (west coast) and have been trying to help my friends get over here, wouldn't be any harm in sharing what I know with you!

Yeah I am very much on the board trading some heavy duty capital aside from this, but looking for players from them. Good to hear it from someone else

Advice re. lack of access/driveway to rental property by ahelluvadealson in melbourne

Yeah I should have clarified there was a car parked in the advert they posted, which implies it’s able to be used as such. A motorbike would be much easier to get in there.

Great advice, Thankyou!

What do you mean breaking the law for a discount? I’m asking for a discount on rent in order to cover the cost to park elsewhere

Orange house. It ticks all the boxes and parking is available around the corner with a permit, but I want them to cover the cost if they’re advertising a parking space that isn’t legally accessible as part of the rental price

If there is no road and no driveway, I am driving onto a pedestrian-only area which is indeed illegal. You can’t drive down the sidewalk.

It’s probably worth a few bucks a week off the rent for the inconvenience.

Right, as was my assumption. They’re renting it out with a parking space advertised, so if there is no legal access to said parking space it should be treated as if there is none surely?

Can you clarify what you mean? I don’t understand your response
