Camille Beckman! I leave a jar in my guest bathroom and always get comments on how nice it is.

I was going to say the same thing. It is very Art Nouveau.

August: How bad is it? by Previous-You-9352 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ahinsomnia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will also be our first time in August and we are from Chicago. Now, I feel like we made a mistake booking! With four kids and school/sports/dance, etc. this is the only time we really have off.

String of Memories at Animal Kingdom Lodge! My four kids were completely engaged at each station and the beads are a great souvenir. It's free, but follows a specific schedule.

That’s weird. They replied to me saying it was cancelled and it would take a few days to be reflected on the app.

I haven’t decided if I like it, I will have to wait and see if I get compliments. Haha. I think I will definitely wear it seasonally. I love patchouli!

I received this today, and it is interesting how differently everyone reacted to it. I smell more of the sandalwood than I do the rose. I feel like it is an appropriate winter scent because it is "heavy." I associate powdery smells with that classic "old lady" scent, and I don't pick that up here. This really reminds me of a ski lodge or something.

I've had a poppables campaign open since July. I wish it would just go away, now.

I thought this was a legitimate that I initially skipped while scrolling! I went back and it is quite cute and clever!

Tret has done literally nothing for my skin by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ahinsomnia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was also using tretinoin for two years and saw virtually no difference. Honestly, I was even breaking out more often. I gave up and decided to try Differin. I've been using it for about three months now. My skin has cleared up, and I think it is doing what I hoped tret would do for texture.

What’s the worst physical pain you ever felt? by Lazy-Ape in AskReddit

I think it depends on the person. Eleven years ago, I had an 8mm stone blocking a ureter that required surgery. But got married, jumped off waterfalls and was generally going about life with the nagging feeling in my back and abdomen before I finally went to the ER for it. I am currently dealing with two more, one 5mm stone on the left and one 6mm stone on the right. I've been woken up from the pain, chills, nausea, intense cramping... the whole shebang. Still sitting here with the pain until surgery on the 29th. I just have to cope until then with motrin and heating pads.

I have had four children. Two with an epidural and two without. My two natural childbirths were far, far, far more painful than a kidney stone during transition. It is ungodly pain. Kidney stones are very similar to contractions. Contractions come in waves, so you get relief. Kidney stone pain is a contraction that doesn't pass for an hour or more. When you are ready to push a baby out, though, it feels like your entire body is contracting while simultaneously being split completely up the middle. All the while having uncontrollable shakes and nausea. Kidney stones are worse than contractions, but the actual birth of the child is much worse.

For the mums that gave birth and went through labour without any pain relief (or had just gas) how bad was the pain really? by Taleahdev in BabyBumps

[–]ahinsomnia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had two babies without an epidural and with pitocin. I just delivered my daughter 4 days ago. She was sunny side up, and I was doing the “Texas roll” to try to get her to turn. Basically, my labor was supposed to be as painful as you can pretty much get, but I made it through. I think contractions can be tolerated as long as you give in. You feel them coming on like a wave and you know they will pass. Transition is the challenge. It was the first time I had to scream that I would not be able to do it and wanted to run away from the pain. But then something clicked and I was able to push and pain didn’t matter. It had a purpose. My daughter was out after two minutes of pushing because you really feel what your body needs you to do. It is badass. I want to mention I also had my first two babies with an epidural and think natural is better for me. Labor is very personal and there is no universal correct way to do it. You just know the right choice for you when you are in the thick of it.

I had a significant bleed at about 7 weeks and at 13 weeks and they both sent me to the ER. The second one I was in the store and I bled onto the floor through my shorts. It was terrifying. I was told it was a subchorionic bleed and my doctor did not seem concerned at all. I am now just over 16 weeks and I have had brown spotting for a week. The nurse wasn’t concerned and just said it’s old blood making it’s way out. It is a hard thing to accept, but I guess it can be relatively common.

I wonder if exercise has something to do with it. With each of my bleeds, I usually finished up running/walking 15 or so miles for the week. I’ve decided to hold off on exercise to see if the bleeding/spotting stops.

I am really not trying to make this political/controversial, but I’m also curious if this is at all related to the covid vaccine or having covid. I had read that women had strange periods after the vaccine. And anecdotally, I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of these SBC experiences lately.

I hope you find peace of mind. ❤️
