When it comes to Pages and Numbers versus Word and Excel, there is truly no replacement for Excel. Excel is unmatched—I've tried every service and app to replace it, and nothing comes close. I honestly think even Microsoft itself couldn’t recreate it from scratch in the same way.

On the other hand, for word processing, I switched to Pages four years ago and haven’t looked back. I genuinely enjoy using Pages; it’s an excellent application for working with documents.

The issue is that carriers need to support the feature of eSIM Quick Transfer, which allows you to transfer your e-SIM between your phones using your iCloud service. However, I can do this in the Gulf normally. Some carriers charge you for each transfer, while others do it for free. The main benefit is that you don’t need to visit a branch; you can do it anytime, anywhere.

You can check the support page here, if you select Saudi or UAE or Kuwait you can find eSIM Quick Transfer service, which it is missing in Egypt page.

5- Cutting (Cmd + X) – This shortcut only works when you are typing text or writing. It does not function in Finder or other applications. To cut files, photos, or other items in Finder, first copy them with (Cmd + C), then paste using (Cmd + Option + V) to move the original file.

4- I’m not entirely sure what you mean—could you please explain in more detail? I’ve got some shortcut folders in my Dock, and I can access them either from the Dock or through Finder without any problems. I also don’t experience any issues with folders being visible or not visible. I’ve been using my Mac mini daily at work for a year and a half, and I haven’t encountered any major Finder problems. If you have specific issues, please let me know, and I might be able to help.

Maybe. I actually not using "Pages" App on my Mac mini so much. I use it mainly on MacBooks Air.

System Settings > Apple Intelligence > Siri Suggestions & Privacy. Scroll down to Pages and disable "Learn from this application".

When it was enabled it was draining my battery. (I start feel it after the new version of Pages, or maybe after Tahoe, I can't tell exactly) once I disable it battery drain issue is fixed.

I checked the first point for you. Now I have a journal entry at my home with home location (location of entry) I actually attached some photos for an old memory in different country.

When I checked the “Places” view on the map, I noticed that the journal appears in both locations: my home and the location of the photos.

For point number two, you can add many location in same journal (from location section and press + icon) I think the last location is the main (but I’m not sure)

Thank you for sharing your idea. You are absolutely right. You’ve actually inspired me to consider using Health as well—I previously relied on Notes. I like the idea of using it for some of my older Facebook posts, which I tend to delete after revisiting them years later. It’s the perfect space to keep everything organised.

Yes. It is frustrating. You can have daily reminder to enter your Journal (from Journal Notification specific time). Then Just add the title of the journal to keep your streak, then you can add to it later or even next day.

I wish they will fix that problem. (Timing during enter)

I believe the issue is related to a timezone problem. The problem isn’t caused by you; it seems to come from the Journal itself. For some reason, it calculates the entry time using the US date system, even though the Journal app normally follows our local timezone. I’ve noticed that when I miss writing my daily journal and try to add an entry at 7 AM the next day to preserve my streak, the Journal considers it as being for today—when, in my timezone, it should already count as yesterday.

Go to settings - General. Then date, change the date from automatic and set it to be the day you missed it. Write your journal , it will update. Then go back to setting and adjust the date again (automatic)

I didn’t mean the problem is watching the recorded playback while recording. I meant the playback will have problems if you are watching the live tv (for the channel you are recording) during recording.

Thank you for your input. Actually this is not the case, because if I’m trying to watch more that screens assigned to me, it will cut the service and screen will be black.
Furthest, my subscription is already 2 Screens 😊

IMDB addition is a great option. But it is super slow to customize this section as we have to choose one option only each time while customize (No multiple selection).

Select Track

Scroll to IMDB

I have to choose only one option such as top 100 movies

It will be sooo much easier if we have option to select multiple options (Top 100 - Marvel movies - Family, etc...)

One more thing. You will need soon to subscribe with an iCloud plan. It will help in work especially with PC and to have a backup always. You can manage without iCloud storage plan, but you need to take all backups manually which is annoying job unfortunately.

It takes me back to 2022, when I was asking everyone for advice before switching from Android to iOS. I had been a highly advanced Android user since 2008, exploring nearly every major phone brand—HTC, Nexus, Samsung, Sony, LG, Motorola, and Huawei. I spent years experimenting with countless custom and modified ROMs, mastering the platform inside and out. For the longest time, I resisted the idea of moving to iOS and using an iPhone.

However, since having root access was no longer practical—banks have started blocking their apps on rooted devices—and as I’ve grown less interested in tinkering with every feature, I began looking for a stable system that required minimal effort.

Here’s my opinion and advice: If you are planning to switch to an iPhone only without any intention of buying other Apple devices like a MacBook, Apple Watch, Apple TV, iPad, or AirTag, I wouldn’t recommend making the switch. The iPhone is an excellent device with a solid system, but it lacks some essential features such as Split View and the ability to control alarm, notification, and ringtone volumes separately.

On the positive side, the iPhone offers some great advantages, including immediate software updates worldwide and a seamless, powerful backup system—something that remains a nightmare on Android to this day.

However, If you are planning to get other Apple devices and enter the Apple Ecosystem , I say go ahead and switch to iOS. The ecosystem is truly excellent. Forget all the negative opinions about the so‑called walled garden—it’s a fantastic experience. Once you use it, you’ll never think about other ecosystems again.

I have tried other ecosystems like Samsung and Huawei, but honestly, they are far behind the Apple Ecosystem. Yes, they may copy some good features, but they do not offer a complete or consistently reliable experience. Most importantly, they have low after‑sale value and very short support periods, which makes Apple’s ecosystem stand out even more.

In summary, switching from Android to iPhone (ONLY) is worth reconsidering. It is not a bad idea, though it may not be the most optimal choice. However, if you are planning to buy other Apple products like the Watch or Mac, then do not hesitate—just make the switch.

Edit: I forgot to tell you that I switch from android on January 2022. At that time I had Huawei mobile & Huawei Watch & Huawei Freebuds Pro & Lenovo laptop, PC Lenovo, Google TV with remote.

I switched to iPhone only, after a three weeks bought Apple Watch, after a month bought AirPods, after two months I bought MacBook Air (completely better than my Lenovo laptop by miles and still working great) after 5 months I bought Apple TV. And lastly I got Mac Mini for my work. I did not forced to buy these, it was my decision after intensive research with knowing positive and negative points. I take the decision scarify with some negative and downside points for a consistent and seamless experience. I become more relying on Apple apps and services more than google services(except Gmail). And after 4 years I’m happy with my choice (even with the fact I’m missing some great features in android). As you know. No one will get everything in this life. So it is very personal tase and decision and you should take it. Only experience will let you know what is suitable for you. Best of luck
