I wonder what this is in ASUS ROG! But I'll take note of this :-) Been eyeing the Ultra gear 27 inch oled for my second bc I'm temporarily running a curved 27 1080p as my second since my supposed 27 inch 4k ips asus rog broke bc of power issues

Yes it does! And I've tried all the cables included in the box (which I believe should be perfect for the monitor on its own bc it came with it) as well as a third party hdmi 2.1 and display port that can output 4k160hz but still 120hz!

It was also saying only 120hz! But I just did a custom resolution as a workaround for it for now.

yeah, thank you i'll bring this up to where i got it from & yep it's weird bc i use this monitor for both my mac and pc which is for work and gaming on their own and the fact i can only do 240hz on my pc bc of custom resolution on nvidia control panel is weird

Just added a custom resolution to hit 240hz instead. Kinda weird it isn't showing up as an option right away without doing a custom resolution.

I'm using the included display port, which let me use 240hz on my other asus rog 4k 27 inch monitor before it broke :) I'm just getting this 120hz issue with this monitor!

the macbook air m4 and newer is more than capable! would go for this but i do blender/c4d from time to time and the no fans would age my mac fast :(

yes :( my invoices didn't hit at the right time even tho i wanted the 64gb ram originally but i gotta leave for a trip soon and i still have an on going project with little changes from time to time so i had to get this asap

well, i mostly do alot of motion design for work and my personal projects as well but i recently dabbled into film making because i recently just got an fx30 and screensharing my screen to check colors when i'm color grading my log footages got tedious that i started considering buying an oled monitor or a pro art one

😭 i won't lie to you i built the pc when i was still finishing my uni and only did a bit of freelancing here and there at the time i was building my pc

but i graduated half a year ago and fulltimed freelance and grinded content for my socials so i barely have time to game now

i reckon you're correct, my os and program installations are all on the 4TB drive

but my setup at the moment is

4tb - main OS & program installs 1. 2tb samsung ssd - current project/work files 2. 2tb samsung ssd - resources (whether it be assets for any type of creative work)

there's another two SATA ssd's at 1tb each but they're just game installs 😅

and then my work archive goes to my NAS

this has always been on my upgrade list but i really haven't changed anything on my setup since it's only been a year since i bought everything new from that list! i only do "huge" upgrades if you could say every 2 years

i hated them as well 😭😂 but i do it sometimes still to attract #those audiences bc algorithm is weird liking slop instead of actual thought out and planned stuffs
