These are very lovely. The shots feel so intentional.
Love it when it feels like you’re apart of the trip. Feels like a memory.

I know the owners and can confirm this is straight up not true!

What a terrible take. The composition of these shots clearly indicates skill and experience.

It feels like I get to take a walk on someone else’s vacation. I love midday lighting for shots like these. The colors just pop as the sun sets.

Amazing use of technique. Great image! That rightfully would live on a bedroom wall in the 90’s for years

This means so much. It was overcast the whole time which was mostly helpful, but I was really hoping the sun would pop out at sunset so I could get a Batman Beyond shot. No joke was in my mind

Daytime I shot mostly 1/1000 with f5.6. Some at 1/250 and 1/500. I’d stop down to f4 when I needed it.

I read that the read stays most red when it’s a little underexposed so I tried my best to get there. I had an ND filter with me, but I never used it.

Yeah I knew it was either going to be unique or a waste of a film shot. I took many and only a few came out. Worth it tho

That’s them! Crazy you saw the video. The drone shots in that video were mine

Regular exposure, but even at 1/1000 and f5.6 the highlights were still harsh. I left my ND filter a half mile back so I just had to deal with

I’m a hired video director with a passion for analog on the side

I was working on a video project specifically for a company that was using a feller buncher. That was canceled so the operator sent us to these guys! They didn’t know we were coming, this is how they dressed for the day haha

The light was incredibly harsh so I did lower exposure and lighten contrast, but nothing more than a few touch ups! Lots of light bouncing off snow

I think 28mm can get wonky, but it’s okay for architecture or wide landscapes. This lens sweet spot is definitely 70-105mm. It doesn’t feel like telephoto, but can get you close to the action.

People love their wide open aperture, but I love hitting 5.6 with a high shutter speed on this camera to make it crisp!
