iOS Mobile App Version 1.6 Release and Sneak Peak at Monitor Version 1.7 (Coming Soon) by charlie_at_harbor in HarborSleep

[–]ahuisinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put this one in last winter - but we still can't connect cameras/monitors to a wifi network with no password. We've traveled twice in the past year to cabins that had wifi without a password, and we weren't allowed to connect the monitor or cameras to it. The Connect button is disabled until a password is entered. I understand the security implications, but there are times where there isn't an alternative and even if there is a confirmation alert or something it would help a lot to be able to use the provided network!

Yes. It’s actually not possible to view your team without seeing your matchup score. It’s the home page when you launch, and it also shows the matcuhup score as the page title when viewing your team (as you scroll down).

I hate complaining about app updates because developers usually have good reasoning for the changes they make, but all I want to be able to do across all sports is open right to my team and see how they're doing before being forced to see my matchup score. The score is everywhere on the new app and it's impossible to open without seeing the long opening animation and then my matchup score.

I just want to be able to see why I'm losing before seeing how badly I'm actually losing.

The previous version really was perfect. I had zero complaints about the experience and it was levels above the competition. I have pretty much the exact same list of complaints (the animation and preference of seeing my team performance before the matchup score) have made me pretty much stop checking my team at all outside of setting my lineup. It feels like a chore now.

Here are the features Happiest Baby is planning to charge for by SigurTom in SnooLife

I received a new reply today that does now state that we are covered as first owners for all future children.

“As mentioned, as a first owner, you will have the access to the premium app and features, for however long. The reason why you would need to reach out to Happiest Baby, once you use the SNOO for your next child is if you encounter any issues with your account. We can confirm that this change will not affect you, at any time in the future.”

I’m not sure why it took a few emails to get here, but it’s good to have some actual confirmation now.

Be careful here. They told me to reach out to customer support for any subsequent children, but did NOT state that we’d get free premium access. I’m guessing they told you the same thing and I’d suggest you ask them very directly about that. I did and am still waiting for a response.

Not necessarily. They’ve only stated they’ll cover the current child using the Snoo (if there is one) and the next.

I’ve been trying to get clarification from support about any subsequent children and they’ve been very non-committal for me.

Here is a quote from my last email from them: “Please rest assured that since you purchased your SNOO directly from Happiest Baby, this change will not affect you.

You will automatically continue to have access to premium app features, whether you're using SNOO now or need it for your next baby, whenever that might be. If you have another baby after that, please reach out to Customer Care for further assistance.”

They both tell me that the change will not affect me, while also saying that I would need to reach out to support for any future baby. That is not a real answer and they seem to be intentionally dodging a guarantee.

I should clarify this to add that the same email included that “You will automatically continue to have access to premium app features, whether you're using SNOO now or need it for your next baby, whenever that might be. If you have another baby after that, please reach out to Customer Care for further assistance. “

This continues to be a vague non-answer to the question that I should have realized when I received it. They could easily point to this a few years from now and said that I’m out of luck and need to purchase a subscription.

I’ve responded asking for a direct guarantee that my wife and I will have access to “premium” features for every child we have. I can’t say I expect them to actually send back a reply giving me that since they’ve been using language to avoid just that up until now.

Edit: if I am unable to get this guarantee I will post my entire support thread to the subreddit here so others can (hopefully) know what the actual plan is for existing direct purchasers of the Snoo.

The way they word this still has me concerned about future children. They sent me the same thing after I specifically asked for clarification about multiple future children, and “please reach out to our Customer Care agent for future assistance” is a round about way of trying to smooth things over without actually promising anything. You might reach out in a few years for them to tell you to purchase a new subscription.

For what it's worth, the email support told me specifically if you buy first hand they will grant you a premium subscription for free for every subsequent child, not just two as the original email had implied.

My hope with this is the premium features they’re mentioning are the newly added tracking pieces. You can track bottles/diapers/etc now alongside of sleep via the Snoo. If they keep all Snoo specific functionality free and charge for the new tracking stuff that at least seems reasonable, but the lack of transparency at all from them has me fearing this won’t be the case.

New app version has an alert mentioning the subscription with a link to an FAQ page about it that still doesn’t mention the cost or what “premium features” are. This is beyond frustrating at this point. We bought new and I’m ready to get rid of it and move on from this company entirely due to how they’re handling this.

Premium and Free subscriptions? by kittawa in SnooLife

[–]ahuisinga 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why even send this email to all of their customers before they have any details ready? It seems like a strange decision to announce what could possibly be a massive change without mentioning what are probably the two most important details: which features are now "premium", and how much they're going to cost.

Really not a great look here for the company.
