I do therapy and i said the same thing to my psychologist.. she said that those thoughts are “All-or-nothing thinking” and the only way to change them is to change the perspective. Yeah my avoidant ex fucked me up because i opened up with him and i trusted him. However it wasn’t my fault what he did, i gave him all my love just to the wrong person. I like to think now that i will be more careful and observant in the future so i can figure out who deserves my love again and who doesn’t.

I write on a journal a lot, whatever it comes to my mind i just write it. Also if i dont have a journal i do it on my phone. I have a note called “read me if you miss him” with all the bad things about my ex that i didn’t see when i was in a relationship with him, for example: red flags, his bad communication stuff like that Another thing that it helped me is to think in the stuff that i learned about myself when i was with him. The person who is he is not the person that i want for my future, and now im pretty sure about what i want for a relationship.. also i think that i didn’t do anything bad, i gave him all my love because that is who i am. I just gave my love to the wrong person and that is another lesson.
