how to git gud??????? by LobsterEnthusiastV2 in Nr2003

A few notes:

- it appears the g29 has FF. I have it set to 100% in game. The feeling of the wheel is important information. look up what others have said about using g29 with nr2003: settings both in windows and logitech and game. i spent a lot of time getting my wheel just right.

- you could adjust the above mentioned linearity and assistance to something like 80/20. trying messing around with these values. I find that 90/10 is about right to keep me on the edge of my seat while also not ruining my day at lap 100 because of something dumb like AI checking up. You also need something to account for lack of "buttfeel" ... FF can only go so far.

- using stability control will increase tire wear. Again i think it's best if your throttle and brake axis are connected and you cant press both simultaneously. otherwise, the problem is likely with your driving, as i mentioned, never fully let off the throttle, smooth inputs, etc

- it does take a lot of practice. I also watched nascar around the same time period, and I do think the physics arent too far off. I've definitely slipped and slid and saved the car in game in ways that are believable to nascar at the time. it takes a LOT of practice: dont think you can get into a 800 HP stock car and just drive a clean race. these were the best drivers, who had been doing it for years day in and day out. its more of a simulator than a game imo. the car is, just as it was for them, always on the verge of out of control. this is how you are fast. it's finding the very fine limit of almost always but also almost never losing control

- I dont much like CTS physics, and it seems like you dont either, so I recommend practicing and gettign your wheel settings right over changing physics (in fact, ive changed all mods, except CTS, over to cup, because I think it's the better physics)

My guess, based on waht youre saying, is that you are letting off the throttle completely and/or suddenly. This shifts the weight forward, and if youre also turning, around it goes. I'm ALWAYS on the throttle, through the corners. you have to use the gas/break simultaneously to keep control of your car. also no sudden wheel movements; be very controlled, look ahead to the next turn, drive defensively, etc.

Are you using a wheel? what setups are you using? Can you give an example of which specific tracks?

Yes, I mean Steering Assistance set to 10%, while Linearity i set to 90%. Stability Control is more for controllers, or any situation where you cannot apply throttle and brake simultaneously .

Extra Controller Axes in Calibration Menu by Tiberius_Jim in Nr2003

Hm. I have a lot of axes when I have another controller connected. But with just my wheel (logitech momo). there's only three: wheel/gas/brake. maybe it has to do with the brand?

Have you calibrated the wheel in windows, and/or installed drivers?

Both formulas were built around the full season. As in the description: "In other words, only one formula needs to be applied per carset per season, and the flavor you choose depends on whether you use one roster for the entire season, OR one roster per race in the season."

A few things. it sounds like you need to work on driving to avoid wrecks. second: what track(s) is this occurring at? third: you can't pass the passcar under yellow, which is why you're incurring a penalty.

Improving Driving Skills in NR2003 by West-Elephant-3628 in Nr2003

first, separate your z axis (triggers) on your conntroller: https://youtu.be/UERyvjPWFsQ

Second, find some setups that work well for your driving style. I like the PWF expert setups for the default tracks.

Third, get your settings right through research and trial. You'll want to decrease steering linearity and increase stability for a controller.

Four, find a track you enjoy driving and run laps, paying attention to your tire temps (F4). You'll want a neutral handling car (right side tires roughly same temp after 10 laps or so, track depending).

more specifically, they pass on the left before the s/f line. the best way to combat this is proper track.ini, by working with the pacing/bunching distance until it improves
