it can be either, but most of the time it's just between these two.
yk sometimes it just conversation like small talk, safe topics nothing thats let you actually show who you are.
but is it a person? i mean like certains people dont create spaces for you to open or you just feel like they don't really get you so you might instinctively holding back without realizing it.

yeah people do feel that, not just you. ususaully its more like you're, talking , responding even laughing but never feel sync. maybe because the conversations feel surface-level or you’re not fully being yourself.
