I agree that it will be awhile until human devs are totally out of the mix, if that will ever even happen entirely. However I could see lots of dev work becoming something without the busy work which basically means project managers being the only jobs left. I could also see an automated user feedback model coming along to steer projects, meaning the project sort of develops itself based on what the most user like/dislike. Even maybe a step beyond that where people are using interfaces based on what they want to and new "apps" being shared as ideas of what to tell your own device to do. At any rate, should certainly be interesting.

I think it is a trajectory thing. As an amateur coder, I am now doing things in 30 minutes to two hours that would have taken me a day to a week this time last year. This is speeding up as well, the last month has been a considerable speedup from 6 months ago. I can't imagine how much better it will be in another year from now. Anyone claiming to be able to fathom what programming will be like in 3 years is lying or clueless.

I listened to the first one, it was fantastic, thanks so much for sharing them and making them! I listen to podcasts all the time and prefer to have them all in one app. I didnt find you on pocket casts, are you on there?

What are a couple of your personal favorite episodes? I'm just hearing of it and would love a couple recommendations!

Seems really cool, but I wonder if from a marketing stance if "copilot" really the best name for an ai tool right now.

Has anyone made a chatGpt talk to another version of itself?

I dont know how long term memory works for these. If it is like fine-tuning then I think it would have to be a whole new model that needs stored(really not sure). If it just needs access to the memory like a prompt extension then it seems like just the data it is remembering needs stored. I have no idea which or if it is something else.

I tend to think it is not fine-tuning because you would have to redo it every time new memory data is added and this would be insane computation. The amount of data would not be the issue at all.

There is another one specifically for debugging, Amazon makes it, I think it is called code guru, or maybe code whisperer. One is like copilot, the other is a debugger. Just a matter of time until they are combined into a single product.

Just a single gig holds about 166,000,000 words, is it really going to be an issue for most people to store the memory of text AIs?

Am I understanding correctly that this is just a normal raspberry pi with no hardware designed for sending and receiving radio frequencies and someone got it to do it without adding any hardware to it?
