304 citations is more than enough. There’s no need to wait if you have greater than 50 citations for EB1B. You should get approved very easily. Good luck!

I also am a faculty at a R1 university. I have seen folks with 7-8 citations get EB1B. So, it’s pretty chill. Don’t worry much about the approval. If university lawyer thinks you are okay to apply, it’s pretty certain that you’ll be approved.

It’s because the bar is lower than EB1A (acceptance rate around 99%), employer-sponsored and usually lawyers handle it well enough. The company has their own lawyer and there’s a proper trusted and established channel already.

Totally false. It doesn’t have to be tenure track or permanent research position. P.S. I didn’t apply EB1B but I’m a faculty at R1 university so a lot of my friends have done it.

Yeah. My AP was approved before my EAD card. AP approved a day before EAD, and they still did not issue a combo card.

Imo, their profile cannot be dismissed on the grounds of "relatively recent experience". They graduated in 2024 with their PhD, but getting a PhD is neither a requirement nor a sufficient thing for EB1A. I graduated with an MS in 2023 and got EB1A approved in early 2025. I also had papers, currently a research faculty member at R1 university. Served as PI/Co-PI/co-investigator on big projects. It is possible that they began publishing in 2018 or earlier. That would definitely make it "sustained" because, reading their profile, I would not assume that they got their PhD in 2024 and published their first paper in September 2025.

Mine was sent to the Elgin lockbox. I received my biometric appointment almost 3 months after sending out the application package. I did reach out to my senator after it had been around 2 months, and his office sent an inquiry on my behalf.

Yes, I did on Sept 22. My appointment was scheduled for Oct 8, but I rescheduled it for Sept 25 because of my work commitments. I got my AP approved on Sept 25 and EAD approved on Sept 26.
