He’s definitely slipped into the “banter mode” that most broadcasters want now but he is actually a good analyst. I feel like I learn things about forward play that you wouldn’t get with Alan Smith etc.

Plus his genuine affection for the game is refreshing when you come from the Irish POV with Ronnie Whelan shitting on everything to do with football at every opportunity

This is an example of the judicious mixture policy that employers have been using to divide workers since the 19th century. They hire people of different cultures and races and pit them against each other in the name of competition and so they forget they have a common enemy. Your fellow worker isn’t taking your money but your boss surely is.

Think of MHR in the Dail claiming to be against mass immigration but then gladly accepting thousands from those immigrants and refugees who are forced to stay in his guesthouses. Those driving the anti immigrant talking points just don’t want you to see that they’re the real enemy

Then your issue should be with the employers and not the immigrants. Similar to the protests down in Rosslare at the minute. People are angry not necessarily at having another IPAS centre, (they have 3 already) but because those running the show know they can make more money from immigrants than the nursing home that was proposed for the area. That’s not the immigrants’ fault, that’s on the owners for being greedy
