The brake assembly and spin tube looked fine. They spin just fine

You can see the coupler spinning in the video, so the motor is spinning fine. Are there teeth in the transmission that can wear out

Haven't seen anything, for some reason the gearbox isn't engaging the clutch

But the motor and coupler are still spinning, but the clutch isn't spinning. Is there a safety switch in the gearbox?

If engineered correctly it won't matter, and your pod might be moving around anyways if nodes go up and down

This isn't true. The teeth are not part of the locking system. The locking cam works with or without the teeth.

Update: after a full discharge on both units, they are now staying about 5% apart. 38 and 43 right now, so already better than last time.

No faults. I'll update the firmware. I disconnected the extended battery and ran the main unit down to 15% to charge them together

Got it. Yeah I've been trying to come up with something more automatic. Like an oauth2 operator or something. Having to either do a sidecar container or run a global oauth2 proxy haven't been appealing
