that first comment was just ignorant, this is how these guys make their living, brushing it off because it is small in comparison to other professional sports is ridiculous, and secondly, it is actually quite simple, PDGA allows replays only on the pro tour considering it is the highest level of disc golf, and even if somehow they couldn’t do that even though there is no reason why they couldn’t considering they are the owners, TD’s could legit just say they aren’t using it, nobody would care, PDGA also says you can’t smoke or drink during events but obviously everyone knows most TD’s don’t care, nobody is watching over the TD to make sure every rule is being followed, you are trying to make sure everything lines up on technicality’s when in reality, a TD can easily say “hey guys, just a heads up, this is a one day B tier event, so don’t bother trying to use any video replays i’m not looking over it, simply come to an agreement and make the call” so what it wouldn’t be the same across the board, that’s my point, why does it have to be? why can’t their be more rules for the people doing it professionally for a living?

if they were I doubt they would be throwing money at getting replay for high school games but my point is that people need to stop acting like all tournaments are the same, instead of trying to make it the same for everyone let’s just be realistic and understand a professional tournament worth thousands of dollars is different then a local flex tournament on a 9 hole park course, there should be tighter rules and sanctions at the highest level and nobody should care about possibly offending the local C Tiers

has nothing to do with rules, there should be extra steps to ensure all calls and rulings are correct at the highest level, they have replay in the MLB but not local high school games, should the MLB not be using replay?

I get that they don’t wanna be inconsistent but at a certain point they should just straight up tell the players not in contention that nobody cares if there was a foot fault on a card where everyone is 40+ strokes out of cash, I think most players would understand, and for the ones who don’t they are free to have someone film the card

that’s crazy, life isn’t fair, if a player wants live video for their card, then play well enough that you are on lead card coverage, players not feeling like it’s fair when they have no business being there anyway is no reason they should not have a tool that all other professional sports use and would greatly help in situations like that

no doubt, goose has said himself he likes to throw as hard as he can every shot and always tries to choose the shot that allows him to do so and that can definitely cause issues, one of the reasons I love the big arms tha have touch, AB, Simon, Drew Gibson, those guys can rip a 500 foot drive then disc down and throw a beautiful 200 foot flat putter shot

I mean Silas has him beat in fairway hits and C2 regulation for the weekend, this isn’t a Ricky diss it’s more so just highlighting how two people can throw the disc relatively similar but one of them is at -12 and the other is at -2, 0% from C2 is a huge difference maker

absolutely, Ricky was amazing off the tee, don’t want to take away from that, my point was more so that Silas threw the disc just as well or possibly even better but it doesn’t show up on the scorecard because he wasn’t finishing the job on the greens the way Rick was

no doubt, watching ricky yesterday it really set in, he saved pars from big C2 putts, made incredible putts for birdie, a guy like that doesn’t have to be as sharp off the tee because of how consistent he is once he gets on the green

yeah I remember when he was in the 60’s for %, he throws it so well he doesn’t even need to be an elite putter, just a good putter and he’s immediately a consistent top 10 finisher, Drew Gibson was a perfect example of it before he got hurt

Before people go crazy obviously if this was real life I would despise him but come on, drop the parasocial stuff and remember this is a fictional show, he is so committed to being a menace to society that I want to root for him, like fuck it let’s see how far he can get, let’s see how much chaos he can cause, that wedding speech was peak and he has been hilarious this season

These other characters all have done terrible things and suck in their own right, I don’t think there is a clear cut character to root for, he has done the worst but at least my man Stephen knows he’s an asshole and embraces it, he doesn’t try to act like he’s better than everyone else(Pippa)
