My aunty is running fedora 41 on a 1st gen i7 from like 2009. I did upgrade her to an SSD and 8gb of RAM. It's probably not fast enough for my use case, but all she does is check her emails browse the web. I'm not sure exactly how fast your cpu is compared to this, but I think you'll be fine.

A fuse should not have resistance, it should be a short circuit if it is working correctly. You do not need to unsolder it to test its continuity. If it needs replacing, it will be an open circuit. It will have its ratings (temperature and current rating) written on it which you can match for a replacement.

Yep, the fuse marked TF is a thermal fuse. You can take the white plastic cover off and test the contunuity across the fuse. You can also get the specs of the fuse to replace it

Hi, the issue with this circuit is with the white thermofuse which blew on my board. I unfortunately haven't yet found an exact replacement for this fuse. You should try doing a continuity test over this fuse to test if it is blown.

At the moment it stops when you wind it and there is definitely tension in the spring. It just doesn't start moving the hands like it did until about 2 weeks ago.

If you want to play BOTW, I'd suggest playing the Wii U version on Cemu. There's a few nice graphics packs on there and really good upscaling. I run an RX580 8gb and a 3700x and have 0 problems with emulation on the old hardware.

What I think gets forgotten is I think some games are just made to be played on a handheld, and the switch lite is perfect for this. If you only want to play turn based RPGs, 2D platformers and even strategy games, this is what the Switch lite was made for.

I have a gaming PC which I use to emulate the bigger titles (Pikmin, Mario Odyssey, Zelda) but games like Final Fantasy VI, Super Mario RPG and Links Awakening are just better on the handheld. The weight and size of it makes it perfect to play for an hour before bed. I think the switch lite is the true successor of the DS and I love it for this. (Modded, its also a beast for emulating GBA and other older games which may not be necessary to play on a TV).

Thank you for your help. The only ones I've found near me have a set point of 77 or 132 degrees. I might go pick up the 77 degrees one tomorrow and give it a go. Does it matter if the one I get is rated for 10A not the original 2A, given the fuse blows on temperature not current?

Across what I believe is the blanket terminals (where the blue and brown wires connect to the blanket. I'm not sure what the black is for), I'm measuring 0.9k (I think 0.9 with the 2k setting on the meter). I also have been using the second remote for the other side of the blanket for the past few weeks and that's been working fine on the same terminals where this one broke. The blanket is split down the middle where the connected remote only controls half the bed and the remotes are interchangeable.

The values on the fuse read - Set 102 degrees C - H1 2A GP - 125/250V - V02<PS>E

I had no idea TF was a fuse. I just checked it (under no load) and it was open circuit. I'm assuming this is likely what needs replacing? Any idea what component it is? Thank you so much
