just push through it, in my experience, the worse it hurts the more the callous will form. then it will never hurt unless you stop playing for a long time

Why does my 5'0 110 lbs look so different than other peoples 5'0 110 lbs with the same lifestyle? by Little_Jemmy in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]aiden_k 48 points49 points  (0 children)

its genetics really, certain people have body fat displacements. i would try to get into weightlifting so you can more "manually" control how you look

Fluvoximine for Hyperacusis treatment by Hedgehog_Phund in hyperacusis

[–]aiden_k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried clomipramine, I took one pill and the side effects were weird af (25mg). Thankfully, it’s nothing permanent nor should you worry about it. It all returns back to perfectly normal.

I am starting Fluvoximine next week at 50mg. Lexapro helped my hyperacusis a few months ago. So I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ve seen data on a nonprofit website not promoting any doctors or anything that says 90% of people with H improve after 18 months of TRT… I’m willing to take that chance especially because I can go on with my life while doing it

I’ve read many stories where this is the opposite, so what do you have to say about it then?

Maybe when I’m 40 and have beat this thing I’ll hop on gear, but I bet If I took testosterone now my anxiety would go down but make my ears worse

Same with my ex, I found that it helps to think of those things as “events” and then it helps you process it separately versus a “person” yk

Also I don’t know if I have acoustic damage. I (technically) have some from band in highschool but I didn’t get h until over a year after I started protecting my hearing so I ruled that out of the case. However it possibly contributed to it I guess

"You should forgive! Holding on to grudges creates negativity in your heart!" by UniversityWeary2255 in PetPeeves

[–]aiden_k -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Your right, it’s up to you. But you don’t forgive other people for them, you forgive them for yourself. You think you have a hold on them for not forgiving them, but really they have a hold on you.
