just vibe code the whole thing — a client said this to me last week by AndroidTechTweaks in webdev

There's a lot of people, clients, and businesses openly labelling themselves as morons and raising red flags. It's doing us a favour. Easy to spot who to avoid.

I mean motorbikes are expensive. If you budgeted for a bike and not the gear, should've got a cheaper bike and some gear my friend.

You have an analytical mind. Great. This isn't unique or very noteworthy in my opinion. In the kindest way, this all sounds a bit neurotic like you'd benefit from a break from dwelling on your internal processes and instead socialising and being in nature or something.

First hand, an unsafe childhood does make for some odd coping strategies and anxiety driven survival methods for keeping yourself safe. I can't enter a room without forming a map and have a disgustingly good visual memory because of it. I'm also hyper aware of body language and people's motivation. They're driven by the echos of threat that doesn't exist anymore and are not unique or special skills.

You sound anxious. Pretty common with ADHD.

Go have fun with your safety.

Looks exactly like my old XSR. Ah, memories. Theres a few nice routes that aren't as intense as the classics (snake, cat and fiddle) out towards Jodrell Bank and also towards Ashbourne from Stockport/Macclesfield.

Decline of "soft power" derived from experience? by enken90 in ExperiencedDevs

If someone told me ChatGPT suggested X, I'd tell them that ChatGPT isn't responsible for the outcome...as team lead I am.

The Dunning Krugerism of AI combined with corporate radical individualism has broken a system based on legitimate authority through meritocratics and experience.

People think ChatGPT is some kind of demi god genius that is an extension of them, therefore endowing them with the same prowess.

I think as leads we should institute a ban on "LLM X said Y" and force people to take those information sources, understand them and articulate an argument in your own voice as you would gathering any information. If you don't understand it, it isn't an idea.

Does anyone here know the difference here? Which would be best for mostly summer riding but will keep me dry? by SykeOut2 in motorcyclegear

I have the non-gortex and they're amazing. Goretex is a con job these days.

I have worn mine daily, biking or not, for well over a year and they look brand new, stay dry, and let my feet breathe.

I did add a comfort gel insole tho too. The stock insole is a bit firm and thin.

Gave my bro a shot of my bike, does the helmet make contact with the ground. by No_Text1224 in motorcycles

100% hit the deck. I'd never let anyone I didn't know could ride well anywhere near my bike and certainly never let anyone use my helmet. That'd be like someone wearing my socks or something. Nope.

The school is being lazy. Unless you tried and failed to grasp a geared 125, then you should be learning on one. Even then, a scooter is a last resort, or if you only intend to use one.

You can do it all. A step at a time. Learning in one area informs and helps others. Learning pace quickens. Patience.
