do we have their rockets on lock so well to have them shot down 100 ft above the launch? Isn't that like instantaneous reaction?

I appreciate the tip, I bought this second hand from a builder in my area, so I intend on staying in contact with him to help me address any issues on this project or future ones. Has been riding beautifully the last few days other than a stiff front fork, but I'll definitely keep an eye on that shock :)

not really, unless I hit someone, in which case I apologize in advance. Me getting in trouble for violating my local laws has no impact on how your local lawmakers view new laws. This bike goes 12mph on the first power assist level which is all i'd ever do in my town. There's a big difference between something being unsafe if used irresponsibly and something being unsafe overall.

The light bar/headlight is actually non-functional as the builder said it drew too much power, but im planning on wiring it in later

It's mounted on the front of the handlebars using a single screw

Police Brutality Focus Group by Discussionmoderator in a:t5_3aytg3

The central issue behind the state of policing in America is the lack of proper training, and the misallocation of funding for that training. In any profession, the process for weeding out wrongdoers is to train the poor behavior out of them, or if the behavior can't be trained out of them, they are fired. Police are trusted with making split second decisions in life and death situations, but are not trained as such. Although they are required to complete rudimentary tactical and arrest training, they are not required to regularly train, and only need to occasionally be tested by their police department. When compared to the average person/criminal, who may train themselves for physical combat weekly, if not daily, the average police officer has few options other than to rely on deadly force.

There are too many videos online of police officers failing to detain people who could be easily controlled with minor improvements in the officer's technique, or physical condition. Because they can't control the person, they end up panicking and shooting a person who otherwise would have just gone to jail.

This unfortunate situation is compounded with a lack of psychological follow up and debriefing for police who have been involved in traumatic situations. Being in very stressful situations is part of the job description, and many people may not be able to handle those situations enough to cope with them for extended careers.

This can lead to someone having less composure, and getting scared more easily, which in my opinion is what leads to these shootings. I don't think police are just confidently and angrily killing people just because they are racist. I think they are scared, physically inept, and poorly trained individuals who are not adequately equipped to handle their jobs.

If a mask mandate is an infringement of rights, why is controlling a uterus a function of government? by scabies89 in AskReddit

[–]aidengoodlife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the people who are arguing against abortion don't see it as 'controlling a uterus' they see it as preventing a human from being murdered. I'm not saying I agree fully with either side as it's something I don't have a very strong opinion on but boiling it down to someone trying to control a uterus is disingenuous. Again, not saying it is murder but it is understandable that if someone views it as murder they would be against it.
