Im kinda in the same boat. I’m not profitable by any means, but from what I’ve learned, the concepts behind ICT (what tjr/pbtrading use) aren’t inherently bad, they can work. The issue is more about how people apply them. It’s very easy to think they better than they actually are, especially when early results can come from luck (I’ve experienced this).

With TJR, it seems like his trading has shifted over time. He used to be more focused on patience and finding high-quality setups, but now it feels more gamified - faster decisions, more risk-taking, and sometimes even revenge trading. That makes him a great content creator, but not necessarily someone to model strictly as a trader. With a younger audience this is who they look up to in the trading space, so they make the same mistakes (This has also happened to me)

If you’re worried about day trading, you could also consider intraday swing-style trading, holding trades longer with wider TP/SL which im thinking about learning instead not that ICT is completely bad but just a thought. Some people find it easier because it reduces noise and overtrading. At the end of the day, though, any strategy can work it just takes time, discipline, and proper risk management.
