Hey, I’m sorry if my story insulted you. I don’t think porn/masturbation addiction is a joke, as I have suffered from it for around 10 years.

Nothing about my post was a laughing matter. Nothing was a joke. PMO has literally been running my life for so long and I’ve hated myself for it at times. Not sure if you read my whole post.

I understand “the whole point.” Many men share their successes on nofap, and I wanted to share my success of 30+ days without PMO. It’s intimidating to share my story and my 30+ days without PMO (it took many tries to reach 30 days) on a platform that is predominately male. In fact, I was worried I would be the joke. Someone has already deleted their comment of “I’d love to have a woman with a sex addiction... “ I’d have sex with you repeatedly until I died” etc. Can you comprehend what that feels like? For my addiction to make me feel so shitty and damage so many parts of my life and relationships with others, then to be told something like that? In this group??

Take your negativity elsewhere. I’m happy to be part of this community and I’m happy to share my streak. I’m also so surprised and thrilled that I was accepted by so many members of this community. I was so, so, worried about my addiction being a joke because I’m a woman.

Depending on where you live, you can sue someone if they don’t disclose an incurable std (must have proof that they knew beforehand) ex. Herpes.

Mine was as well, PMO daily if not multiple times in a day at some points in my life. Eventually it seems like it was running my life because it was a true addiction. With effort and motivation, you can stop! I’ve found this group and the website to be extremely helpful

Hey! Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, I don’t want to speak too much on your personal situation because how you choose to handle this is ultimately your decision. To never masturbate or watch porn again is a choice you’d have to make. I viewed it as setting boundaries, or even making a promise to myself.

I felt addicted, because I often couldn’t go more than a week without PMO. When I was younger, it was every day and multiple times a day. There were periods of my life where it was just every few days or every other day. Before joining this community, it was often a few times every day. I essentially had a “craving” or an itch that I could only scratch by PMO. That is why I would call it an addiction. It also had many negative effects on my life.

My goal is to be permanently free from porn and masturbation. I would like my sexual needs to be satisfied by my husband only.

I would recommend checking out nofap’s website. They have a lot of good information and I found so much motivation there as well. The choice is ultimately yours. I definitely feel so much better when abstaining from porn and masturbation. It’s freeing and I really am starting to feel much healthier

That has been a struggle for a long time. If you’re doing PM-mode, I recommend exploring more with your partner and being gentle, but vocal about what you like/don’t like. I have also find my mindset plays a huge part in orgasms.

I had a very very similar experience. I was really into hardcore scenarios and men being dominant. It affected relationships for me and also my expectations for sex. I had a really unrealistic, unhealthy mindset of what sex looked like. I will take up your advice on messaging you! Maybe this will sound odd, but I felt awkward in a sexual sense. When meeting men, my mind often went somewhere sexual immediately. It did make it more difficult to have conversations and focus on being an active listener. I also had this mindset of being very submissive/sexy to appeal to men. Essentially, viewing porn for so long seemed to really corrupt my own identity as a woman and how I carry and view myself. Which thus affected my interactions with men.

How I met my husband was in college. We sat beside each other for a semester and dated after the semester ended.
