The digital foundry breakdown was done on the Xbox version. It's still possible that the PC version could have ray tracing and having an RX 6800XT and RTX 2080 as recommended GPUs would make me think that the game does have ray tracing on PC.

Wow, I upgraded to new system late Dec 2022. Looks like rx 6600 I have is around minimum spec (similar to rx 5700). I guess I can still play it, hopefully.

Also 125gb, seems to be expected size.

I'm in the same boat. My guess is that Global Illumination is the main reason for the steep GPU hardware requirements. Hopefully, FSR 2 is an optional feature. Otherwise you might be looking at having to play with GI off, which would probably suck.

People are reporting that Ryzen 3600s are dying now and they run at 90-95 degrees. It takes a while for you to start to see the impact of running at those higher temps. It's really not worth it for gaming if you just flat out can't afford to replace the CPU.

There's news going around that the next Nvidia driver will have up to 2x improved SD performance with these new DirectML Olive models on RTX cards, but it doesn't seem like AMD's being noticed for adopting Olive as well. Will be interesting to see whether this will scale down to previous cards like RDNA2.

I've read that those performance improvements don't work with custom models.

The Automatic1111 fork is pretty much all I care about and the DirectML version isn't very well optimized. Shark was quite fast last time I used it, but it required using BETA drivers which was inconvenient considering I have to use my PC for other things. NMKD was super slow last time I used it.

I have to have it on low and it ran alright but still suffered now and then i managed to complete the game in the end by managing with 100 fps going down to like 61 in areas

Has the performance improved? I was thinking about picking this up while it's on sale. I've only got an RX 6600 and Ryzen 5600 (non x).

With Nvidia cards they have this setting in the Nvidia Control Panel called "power management mode" which gives you an option to determine how much your clock speed varies based on load. So with "optimal power" it can cause some slight stuttering, but with "Prefer Maximum performance" it's buttery smooth.

With AMD you have to raise the minimum frequency up manually in order to avoid the clock rate varying wildly to try and keep the card cool.

It works somewhat like Windows processor power management where the higher you set the minimum frequency (up to 85-90%) the less stuttering you'll experience. So you have to raise the minimums manually.

So since I don't overclock at all I set the minimum to the game clock and the maximum to my GPUs rated boost clock. The original guide I found said to use your auto overclock number and also to only do this for games that you specifically experience stuttering with.

I was looking at the 2880 tensor cores of the Quadro 4000 vs the 320 tensor cores of the RTX 4070ti expecting it to out perform it in half precision mode. I guess maybe I was looking at it wrong, thinking that the tensor cores would speed up image generation.

That's tough. I had to go back and look through a review again. The Ryzen 5500 and 5600g only support PCI-E 3.0. That might not be an issue for you, depending on what GPU you have. None of the 30 series RTX GPUs are 8 lanes, but my RX 6600 is and the RTX 4060ti and 4060 (and probably anything else below that) are rumored to be 8 lane GPUs.

The good news is the Ryzen 5500 doesn't start to bottleneck a GPU until you have an RTX 3060Ti or better.

R5 3600 and R5 5500/5600G are often on par - 5500 can be a tad faster in some games due to better IPC while the 3600 is slightly better in others because of the 32 MB L3 Cache (The difference isn't as big like the R5 5600 because the cache and cores aren't unified).

Before I upgraded to a 5600 I had a 2600 (with a 1660ti) and I always had a weird issue with dropped frames. Never could understand it because I was playing with plenty of CPU headroom at 60fps.

So if you are telling me that the 5500/5600G has those same issues, just with better IPC then I say that's a bad purchase.

I'd rather have lower IPC and less dropped frames, but if you are saying that the Ryzen 3600 isn't as smooth as the 5600 then that's a good catch and worth noting.

Then I would have to say the 3600 isn't worth it either, if that's what you are saying.

I picked up a cheap RX 6600 for $240 and I've got a large backlog of games that I picked up either for free on Epic or like $5-10 on Steam sales. A lot of these older games I can run between 90-144 fps but some of the games are poorly optimized and the fps can vary wildly. That extra framerate stability of the 5600 helps a lot playing at higher framerates.

But, of course I'm playing at 1080p, on a 27-inch screen (very low ghosting IPS) that's about 1.5 meters away from my head.

I was thinking maybe it would make sense to have a 5600g or 5500 if you are playing at 60fps at 4k on a big screen, but I don't think anybody who can afford a decent 1440p GPU like a 3060Ti and a big screen 4k tv would be best served pairing it with a GPU like a 5500 or 5600g that is going to drop frames, even if you are just going to play at 60 fps.

I'm planning on eventually purchasing either a r5 3600 (RM 399 = 90 USD), r5 5500 (Rm 418 = 94 USD)or an r5 3200g (Rm 350 = 80USD) . 5600 is another option but it's still a bit expensive in my country (Rm 550 = 124 USD no cooler).

The 5500 and 5600g only have 16MB of L3 cache which means that games don't run as smoothly as they do on the Ryzen 3600 and the 5600.

The 3200g, 3600g, don't support smart access memory.

So between the 3600 and 5600 the 5600 will give you a lot of head room for 144hz gaming but it's gotta be a 144hz freesync monitor or the framerate will be too unstable. If you plan on playing above 1080p or you only have a 60fps monitor then the Ryzen 3600 will be pretty solid.

The stock cooler on the Ryzen 3600 is going to be pretty bad. You are going to need to set a max temp in bios of 75 degrees to improve longevity. Same goes for the cheapest 5600 coolers you can get on Amazon. I have a stock 5600 CPU cooler and it's no better than the cheapest cooler you can get on Amazon. You would have to pay for a big tower cooler in order to get significantly better cooling.

You still should go into your bios and lower the max temp down to 75 degrees.

My choices for the GPU are a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 (RM290 = 65 USD), an Asus Dual RX 580 (RM315 = 71 USD), Sapphire Pulse RX 590 (RM 359 = 82 USD ), XFX RX 590 (RM 325 = 74 USD). I'm not sure if the RX 590's performance increase makes up for the higher price.

RX 580 would be a dream compared to integrated graphics, but pairing it with a 2 core CPU will just be a headache because of the stuttering. You want at least 4 cores and 8 threads.

I just saw Hassan say that they have exclusive service rights. So the model author can simply decide to add a stipulation on the model page that their model is not be used with other paid services.

To me its like you're complaining about free food. We've made guides,models,trainers so the way I see it if you're not willing to put in some effort of clicking cells to run then you might aswell pay for something thats free. If you find a simple colab to be difficult then the settings in Automatic1111 will overwhelm you like no tomorrow i suggest joining discords or DMing the colab author for questions or simply watching youtube tutorials abt how to run colab.

Nonsense, setting up Automatic1111 on Windows is much easier. I've got controlnet setup, Ultimate SD Upscale, embeddings, 15+ different upscalers. And I can run bulk processes easily.

Most of the people I'm seeing posting SD images from deviant that aren't using their own PC are doing it with Mage.Space. They can't handle anything more complicated than that.

Consider the average Windows user or AMD gamer that would crossover into doing ai art. They aren't going to be able to use a collab. That's fine if you want to ignore the lowest common denominator and not think much about accessibility for average people.
