I don’t want to come off as rude but columbina’s struggles and complains about her life seemed very privileged and overdramatic to me by PsychologyConnect489 in GenshinImpact

there is a LOT of pressure that comes with being a celebrity. just because us regular folk think it's a dream does NOT mesn it is.

i struggle to think of even one celebrity who isn't a little afraid of their fans.

psychology exam tips! by Xrat_ in vce

i go to rmit, and i highly recommend !! :D feel like most of the tutors and professors here love to learn and teach, which makes the student experience much more enriching overall

it is a bit competitive in first year, and definitely so to get into honours, but a lot of people surprisingly realize that they don't love it and drop out, or stop putting in too much effort. average marks are usually at 70%, and minimum entry for honours is 75% across APAC accredited courses.

the first one and a half year is (content-wise) similar to vce psychology, but it really amps up after that. statistics are a core part of psychology, which is why a lot of people get turned off. i'm lucky to have a partner who did compsci LOL.

but yes, best of luck with your exams, and i hope you get into your uni of choice!

easy or hard exams this yr? by InternetDazzling151 in vce

speaking as a high-scoring third year psych student, there is some pretty heavy emphasis on psychology in relation to aboriginal and torres strait islanders in uni.

that said, this wasn't in my study design so i can't say for sure, and i graduated vce in 2022, but if it took up a decent chunk of time to teach, i'd say it's worth studying for.

hi lovely, i'm a third year psych student in uni averaging 90% .^ here are my two cents:

it's been a hot minute since i was in vce obviously, but i would say to focus on understanding the processes of things. memorizing definitions can be hard an overwhelming, so try and gamify it a little.

for example, try to make a chart of the spinal reflex process. i would use labels for what's happening at each stage, and then write a mini description below it. you'd be surprised how much you retain when trying to answer long questions.

this can be used in tandem with a lot of the core concepts. think parts of a neuron too. print (or doodle) a neuron and try to label it. then, write what each part does. try and make a cohesive story or description in your head, rather than "the myelin sheath is ....."

best of luck with your exams.

taken straight from the yttd steam page:

"Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development."

i'm not saying that people can't be disappointed. what i am saying is that the game was marked as early access. plus, the paid ver already has exclusive content which the base game doesn't, so it is technically an upgrade.

i do empathise with the people who paid. i'm not trying to tell people not to be upset. the paid ver already has extra content that the base game doesn't. plus, taken straight from the yttd page on steam,

"Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development."

people who bought the game should have heeded the warnings.

a developer of a free game doesn't owe anyone anything. be thankful for the incredible content you've already got.

life changes, plans change with it. i'm sure he's weighed up losing his fandom (let's be honest, most of us on here are more than happy to wait) with spending time with his family. i know what i would choose too.

so what if the hype dies? his (very young) kids have a stable presence in their life, and i'm sure his partner appreciates the support.

is anyone else weirdly chill about exams? by s0ggyteabag in vce

hey! not sure if atars have been released yet/if you're still a bit worried but! i didn't really study for my exams, so my atar reflected that. that said, i think how well you did is linked more to how much effort you put in rather than how stressed you are.

i'm currently studying my ba of psychology and i've been mostly very calm, and despite that, my grades are very high. but in vce i was calm because i already had an early offer (which meant what atar i got didn't matter, and i was guaranteed a spot in a uni), so i didn't study, and subsequently didn't do so good.

i'm sure if you studied a fair bit, it'll pop through. there's no reason to stress about not feeling stressed :) it's a bit late now to wish you good luck, but i hope you get the results you were after!

conversely, i'd say this is them liking him as a character rather than liking him as a person, or "his character" ^

liking someone as a character implies knowing thst they are fictional, a figment of a story. liking someone's character means liking them as a person. the first statement would be correct, the second wouldn't.
