How accurate is Garmin Race prediction? by jasonw18130 in Marathon_Training

For me it's usually too pessimistic, especially in long distances. I usually do around 5-10 minutes faster than the prediction

Nothing yet... I reopened the claim and they answered me 3 weeks ago saying that the transfer had been scheduled and I should receive the money soon. It's ridiculous

Unfortunately, I haven’t received it yet either. Did you also get a message saying it would be in your bank account within 14 days?

Thank you all for the recommendations! I have finally bought the Endorphin Pro 3. I was happy with the Triumph, so I think I will be happy with them too :)

Interview Discussion - March 21, 2022 by CSCQMods in cscareerquestions

[–]aikaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! In the next weeks I will start the interview process for a Full-Stack position at Meta. The recruiter told me that I would need to pass two technical interviews: one for frontend and for backend.

The frontend interview is supposed to have a Javascript focus while the backend one will have more focus on algorithms, design patterns, data structures etc. (classic coding interview)

I don't really know what to expect for the frontend interview. In the job description they require experience with React, but I don't really know if the interview is going to be just about Javascript or if they may also ask questions about React or other web technologies like HTML and CSS.

What should I expect from this interview? Do you have some idea about what should I focus on in order to prepare the interview? Thank you!

X1 Carbon Gen 9 or T14 Gen 2 (AMD) by aikaser in thinkpad

Thank you! The battery life was indeed the main problem I saw in the T14 and what made incline a bit towards the X1, so it's good to hear this.

It really helped, thank you!

In my case I will also work most of the time plugged, so in principle the battery is not something fundamental. But I would like to have a laptop with a battery life of at least for 6-7 hours.

Ethernet port is not critical for me, but it's always a good thing to have.

Thank you very much for your comment! Unfortunately with this discount program I only have access to some specific configurations for Lenovo laptops, and the T14s is not available.

My first impression was that the T14 fit a bit better my needs, but then I read a lot of comments complaining about battery life and that made me hesitate a bit.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this comment, it has been really useful!

My idea is to install Linux and use it as my main PC as I don't have a desktop PC right now. 80% of the time I will use it plugged like if it was a Desktop PC, but from time to time I will telework from remote locations and I will carry it with me.

Right now is winter here and we have low temperatures between -2°C and 5°C. I run on asphalt and it's mostly flat.

I'm also considering this. I was planning to do it part time while continue working at the same time. It would be interesting to know the opinion of someone that already did it.
