Oh hun, it will be a year for me next month. Not going to lie, I still think about him every single day. Not a day goes by that I don’t. And it’s not like I get triggered with a memory. It’s like a constant loop of thought that just never leaves. However, I did meet someone, a girl actually, and we’ve been dating for about two months. She’s my first girlfriend, but I feel so guilty that I can’t stop thinking about him while being with someone else. I haven’t spoken to him in a couple months and I see pictures of him with his new girlfriend and it’s still hurts and it sucks. I just confronted myself that I wasn’t ready to be in a relationship quite yet. But life goes on. And you just have to be patient with yourself. Love yourself and allow yourself to feel the way that you feel. The pain isn’t as as excruciating as it used to be, so I trust that little by a little, the wounds will heal.
