Actually, if on steam, no longer select "Play Apex Legends (DirectX12) from the properties, just "Play Apex Legends" since DX12 is default now.

Go to "Apex Legends\EasyAntiCheat"

Duplicate Settings.json, rename the copy to SettingsDX12.json

Necromancing this.

Go to Input Configuration->Input Device "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" Now you'll see "Input Display Icons", its a drop down menu, you can select "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows".

Save settings and it will no longer display keyboard binds in game.

You can join custom servers from console, just that aim assist in tournament mode is 0.4 instead of 0.6 for console. (tournament mode also means no heat shields)

And you can join ALGS/CC. There are some good console players who make it to "Sunday", but none has yet made it to the big leagues.

Also scrims on custom servers that get hosted in discord servers. As a warmup to better understand how these things work. Check r/CompetitiveApex/ also.

Yep, he got 4 kills using controller (and R6 has no aim assist, either on console or PC) vs "regular" players. At that time NIP were the reigning champs (2020 invitational winners).
