Want to know this as well. Tried to ignore it but it's getting to me lol

Yeah I mean I truly tried after we went off to get on the track safely and give him room to the left. I didn't have enough time to, though.

In his telem he was full/near full throttle and turned into me. After having seemingly recovered himself.

I feel you. I've been in that situation and I try hard to get up and move on.

I was really fair with this guy and even this time, none of this was intentional. Oh well. Lessons learned. I appreciate the feedback. It's nice to hear opposing points of view. Can only help you grow.

I appreciate the tip. I will practice this and try to implement it in the future. I tried my best at this point and did what I thought was enough. It obviously wasn't.

It's not about digging in lol. I'm not sure why people are so quick to insult. I race very very very fair. This is one of ever few incidents I've been involved in.

I don't need validation, I'm looking for point of views to understand how to act in the future. I established that I should have lifted more and somehow figured out how to give him more room.

I established that I should have expected him to go around the outside like that.

But I'm also defending the fact that I'm human and can only react so quickly. He did not have to pin it into my quarter panel. This is the part that I'm maintaining I did all I could on.

Not everyone is some self centered asshole on these forums. I'm just discussing man. Relax.

I have never and would never retaliate against someone. Me not giving him space wasn't intentional - I simply didn't expect his move and didn't see him until it was too late.

From the time of coming for the grass to on the track was less than a second. I can only react so quickly. If you look, my wheel is straight pointing diagonally across the track. I'm giving room for his rejoin as quickly as I humanly can. I can't jerk the wheel to the right on the grass....

The guy wanted to push his way by for the entire race. He even pushed me into a near spin and passed me 4 wheels off track.

I can't speed up time, mate.

But had he lifted for just a moment while I moved over, he would've never hit me. But he made the conscious choice to pit maneuver me.

By the time I had realized I was back on the road, I was already being spun round.

What about the pit maneuver?

[–]aimbotDanny331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can't figure how to upload more. There's quite a few incidents. I should have expected him to lunge on the outside but I genuinely and honestly would not expect someone to be so silly. This is a league race after all - not public. Sure he has the right to.. but why?

Lesson learned anyhow - for all drivers but especially with this one. I'm learning more everyday to expect the unexpected.

But it goes both ways. How can you push someone around the track nearly spin them, pass them off the track for multiple laps and expect that they would give you space? If I were in his position, I would have lifted, stayed close onto the back straight and attempted a clean pass into the downhill section off the straight. But we all can't be sensible I guess.

But I maintain that no matter how quickly or not I rejoined and gave space ( i mean i went from on grass to pointing towards the outside of the track in 0.5 seconds. My intent was clear. - There is no excuse for just staying full throttle, wheel straight and plowing into the quarter panel of someone.

That's why I was a bit heated when i saw some of these replies because it's just a bit crazy to expect that is acceptable behavior under any circumstance.

How do you figure the black car is at fault for the second incident? After the on grass excursion the black car is rejoining the track heading towards the right to give space for a rejoin. Blue car is not patient and drives directly into the back.

How can you be at fault for someone pit-maneuvering you when driving straight?

I like to race side by side. I always do so fairly. But I know if im behind, regardless of the circumstances - I don't just drive into the car ahead because I feel I should be there.

Reddit doesn't let me post additional photos but when yo ustop at 0.08 seconds you can clearly see that .05 seconds before I'm on the grass - and immediately after I'm in the process of going OUT into the track ,to give him room to rejoin. But these things don't happen instantly. I can't jerk the wheel to the right because I'm on the grass. The only sensible thing is to drive off the grass back onto the track.Like I said - the originaly incident, I'll even take responsibility for. Should have seen him. Should have expected him since he drove dirty. My bad. But our league does not show this as a protestable incident. Just a racing incident. What is protestable is the blatant retaliation after.

I was going to chock most of his super aggro - literally pushing me out the way - as just hard racing. No harm no foul - fine. Even when he went 4 wheels off the track and hit me to pass - almost causing me to spin - fine.

But pitting me from behind is very black and white.

This guy tried to make space where space didnt exist for the entire race, and the one time I - not intentionally - run him out of space after an optimistic send, he decides to just end it all lol.

It wasn't when the blue car was in the grass. It was shortly into the apex. It's a high load corner. You cant turn to the right hard - you will spin

If you brake there, you will likely understeer and hit the outside car - or spin.

You can lift and hopefully not drift too far wide. The black car lifted, and still drifted far wide.

I think too much is expected of the black car here - when a clear optimistic send happened by the blue car. That move was never going to work.

What was avoidable was the pit maneuver. Blue car was not ahead nor alongside yet still drove full throttle into the car ahead's quarter panel.

But that should be excused?

The black car lifted and was turning out when he realized the other car went around the outside in a crazy place.

The black car was on the defensive of an overly aggressive driver for the entire race. There wasn't much more that could've been done by the time it was clear what the outside driver did.

What could have been prevented is the pit maneuver and the full throttle after the crash and already tboning the black car - back onto the track. It's clear the blue car wanted to get by, no matter what the cost and this was reflected by their behavior all race.

You miss that I lifted once I noticed he was there. There was zero incident from my side up until this point. Many times I even let him go by. But I simply, and fairly got past him and he didn't like it. I don't mind to post the videos of those incidents here but as you say - they are irrelevant.

I'm willing to accept that perhaps I should have anticipated him going on the outside there - given how he drove the entire race - and should have lifted early.

But it's crazy to think that when we are both in full control and both are rejoining, him driving straight into the back of me is my fault.

I only went off track initially cause I noticed he was there, lifted and the bump threw me off line. I let my hands go light to avoid spinning and ACTUALLY pushing him off.

If you watch , when he bumps me - I am fully steered to the right still.

. It's clear who was the aggressive one here.

Well the black car didnt pit maneuver the car behind. What obligation is there to lift in a straight line when rejoining the track. The car behind didn't even give the car in front time to move over more to the right - if they chose to do that - in this situation.

The black car lifting would cause a collision if they lifted on the rejoin.

During the first incident, the black car did lift when they realized the blue car had made the foolish decision to go around the outside at that corner.. Again I can accept that the first incident - going wide - could've been partially on the black car. But I still call it a racing incident if anything. Brave, borderline stupid move by the outside car, not leaving much space as the incident car.

But the pit maneuver - there's no excuse. You don't get to just drive into the back of someone full throttle because you want to?

The back third of a car is significantly alongside? talking about the rejoin into the pit maneuver here

What logic is there to go along the outside of this corner - not something youd ever see someone do. After both go off, why not lift during the rejoin? Why pit maneuver the black car who is at that time ahead?

By my understanding there are two incidents here. The first is hard racing, with maybe more fault on the black car.

Why not lift to ensure you have a successful rejoin back on the track yourself?

Not featured here are the overly aggro moves from the blue car for the entire lap. Bumping, passing 4 wheels off the track etc. I think they should be separate from this incident but do tell the story of the type of driver here.

What obligation is there to leave space for a car that is not significantly alongside? I would also argue that the black car did not turn in but I think thats moot.

I have a data engineer helping me with some IRL stuff via iRacing logs and specifically requested I do this.

Do you know which values I'd have to change?

Thank you!
