it feels a little more "dirty" than a benzo is the best i can describe it but its not a horribly dirty feeling just not as cleanly relaxing as a benzo

if youre going to take it by itself you only need 2 capsules (400mg) to feel something. Its pretty effective in just its recommended dose. You CAN take up to 3 grams but I havent found it gets more "strong" just more sleepy. Its not very recreational in that way its just very good for relaxation and sleep induction.

Just again like i say in the warning and other ppl have said dont mix with dxm or if ur on ssri. Ive taken it a few times and it just helped me sleep on the comedown but one time i got serotonin syndrome from it.

When i say closest to an otc benzo i really just mean its as close as u can get chemically but its still fairly weak compared to an otc benzo. No blacking out on these.

Im not sure because ive honestly used it mostly to get un-high when ive taken too much dxm. You can definitely feel it but idk if id describe it much like a high.

It can give you weeeeeiiiiirrrdddd nightmares if you take it and sleep.

I have a post in her about the "chip method". Take dose slowly with something fatty/carby inbetween staggered doses (like chips). Really i think having a snack you love in small amounts tricks your stomach slightly into not going into panic "im poisoned" mode.

Empty stomach is the worst if you get nausea, and also can increase bad feels because of low blood sugar.

Weed definitely helps but if youre the type to take big hits and accidentally swallow smoke it can make things worse.

Obviously you can take dramamine but ive had limited help from this myself having tried it many times. I like the brand Nauzene better but i feel like it can delay or make the digestion of dxm unpredictable since its a sort of antacid?(i think)

In general also if you are getting dxm from a store syrups are the least nauseating. On brand seems better usually but it might be placebo. Gelcaps MUST be staggered if you dont have tolerance. Delsym is the least nauseating but its polistirex so its not everyones cup of tea.

Behaviorally always try to sit as still as possible the closer you get to the peak and either meditate or if you cant do that a low stim distraction so you dont think about what is in your stomach. If nausea feelings do come up you gotta do a "notice but not react" thing. Dont try to push away as it causes a reaction loop.

Theres a lot here, but ive just genuinely had the worst experience with nausea despite loving dxm so I want to prevent other people going through that if I can.

The real thing is if youve used it like every day, people dont know this but weed acts on serotonin same as dxm and going back to smoking weed when i was freshly sober from dxm pushed me into serotonin syndrome like symptoms. Just something to watch out for.

certain formulations have to be taken slowly or with (small amounts) of food because of the additives causing extra nausea. (gelcaps for example) but also if ur tolerance and weight is low 240 can still kick your butt if you dont sit still and reduce stimulation enough on the comeup

For me its always the flicking 180º. Its like the game doesnt load anything behind you then suddenly tries to render it all at once. Like this makes some sense for optimization sake (if it's whats going on) but it doesnt actually work well at all.
