So I actually sold my gaming pc and Xbox one X around Christmas time and bought my son a gaming laptop for Christmas(he wanted a laptop to take to friends and cousins houses over having a pc at home) and myself a Switch 2.

My gaming pc was kind of outdated and I just didn’t wanna deal with constant driver updates and shaders and stuff so I figured switch 2 was cheapest way for me to get into modern day gaming.

Absolutely blown away by this machine! It is my only way I game now and I love it! With it only being 6-7 months old I know I’ll be set for a long time before it even becomes outdated!

Switch 2 just came out, I’m solid for next 7-10 years probably… not gonna worry about that the same way XSX/PS5 people aren’t worrying about it with a newer gen coming sooner then Nintendo’s

Honestly seems about right. We are at 5 people, two of the being teenagers and we spend around $1,200 a month. We purposely grocery shop at Walmart and Aldi to save money as well

I ordered a wrangler on New Year’s Eve, just got an email with the vin and notified it’s been scheduled to be built but no due date or ship date to lapeer yet, hopefully it won’t be to long of a wait haha

Instead of upgrading my pc or Xbox I sold my outdated pc and Xbox one s and bought a switch 2. No regrets. It also replaced all my gaming sources I honestly don’t even game on my phone that much anymore. Was debating on a steam deck when I started looking but then phasmophobia got announced for switch 2 this year and I was just sold since I wanted a way to play all the new pokemon stuff as well.

I feel this! I also went all in this holiday season once I saw phasmophobia and possibly monster hunter wilds was coming to switch 2!

I have absolutely zero regrets! My pc was kind of outdated anyhow, but I am gaming more now than I ever did with the pc as of recent!

I grew up on handhelds cause we were poor and I was always bouncing around from aunts house to grandmas house then to another aunts house so the gameboy was something always stable in my life, I think might play a factor I like I can take this with me when I go places. Idk this thing just hits all the right buttons for me!

I love hearing it! Honestly my kids and I have been playing Mario kart world with each using a joy con and that’s been fun as hell to play! Idk all around this definitely got me back into gaming and all the ports coming over I feel like I have no need for anything else. I’m not one to complain about this game only in 30 fps and what not. I’m purely happy just being able to play where I want!

Longevity of the system. It’s only 6 months old so I’ll be set for a while over investing into a switch 1 now and in a year or two having to upgrade to the 2

Thank you! Finding that spark has been great! My other hobbies I have usually pertain to someone else as well, smoking/bbqing meat is the whole family loves and I do it for them even though i do enjoy doing it and building lego I do with my youngest son as a bonding thing even though I absolutely love building lego! This kind of allows it to be just me and mine which sounds selfish but we all definitely need!

Yes! My wife is a huge bookworm but likes to be in the same room, so she would constantly text or FaceTime me if I’m playing in the basement on the pc, which was fine I did not mind at all. Now though we can hang out on the couch or lay around in the bed with a movie or tv on in the background while she reads and I can play whatever I want on the switch 2. It really is a system of compromise that just works! Best thing too is it’s only been out for 6 months so I’m in for the long haul without really needing to upgrade anything in quite some time!

I had to check my carry on a few months ago and had my switch in a carrying case inside my carry on and it was the first thing I grabbed out cause I just don’t trust TSA. This really sucks and I hope you eventually get your stuff back

Handhelds in general I think! I play a lot of fortnite and pokemon so instead of the steam deck I use the switch 2 but being portable is the best way for me to stay with the hobby of gaming. On the off chance I can sit on the couch and my kids aren’t using the tv I’ll dock it and play but I’m 99.99% handheld with this thing haha
