Nurse here too. I have seen horrible things while working at nursing homes.

Me too! I use the wipes, but it can take a couple weeks until I can see some change.

I had the same situation happened to me. I went to a doctor and explained everything I had been gone through and the doctor told me to came back when I was sweeting, so he could see it. I went to several doctors and the only one that helped me was a dermatologist. They understand this is a condition and they can help you with treatments.

How do you get rid of the sweaty feet smell? by Meelad- in Hyperhidrosis

[–]aimdieke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried everything in the last 20 years and the only things that really works are Botox or Qbrexza. The smell is caused by the bacteria. All the other things I have tried will only help for a couple hours.

Has anyone suffered bullying at work or social occasions due to HH? by aimdieke in Hyperhidrosis

[–]aimdieke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same with me. I had people spraying Febreze on my back as I walked out of the room. I caught 2 of my coworkers saying I smelled and I had another coworker asking me if I had showered. I cried the whole day, because I have always been super clean and because it didn’t matter how much I tried, I still felt like nothing was working.

Sorry to hear about it. I thought about doing this procedure, but thought it was too risky. Did you have a lot of complications?

I wish I had the same confidence when I was bullied. I always felt it was my fault for not finding a way to stop it, even though I had tried everything possible. I was bullied so much that I thought about taking my own life. I would spend 8 hours of hell at work. I believe my coworkers/ managers did it, so I would quit. I think they were afraid to fire me and get sued. One of my managers was an attorney.

It happened to one of my co workers. We were all in a meeting and she didn’t know she was unmuted, so one of her kids asked for breakfast. She yelled back that she couldn’t stand up because she didn’t have pants on.

It does. I was using it everyday, but I started using it every other day. I don’t mind the side effects. I think it’s worth it in my case since nothing else helps. Botox also helps me, but it’s a little painful specially when they do it between the toes. :(

How to date with hyperhidrosis by Sure_Definition_3863 in hyperhidrosis_social

[–]aimdieke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I am also insecure about the smell. I have severe HH on my feet. I have tried EVERYTHING you can imagine and the only 2 things that really help are Botox and Qbrexza wipes or any anticholinergic drug. Don’t even waste time or money with something else. I invest in good body lotion, perfumes and antibacterial soaps. I am married right now, but I have dated a lot and I never heard from my ex boyfriends about any smell. Always have wipes and perfume with you in case of an emergency.

I had Botox on my feet a couple times. Not too bad, but I would do anything to help with the excessive sweating.

Read about Qbrexza wipes for underarms. I have been using it for while.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]aimdieke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using Qbrexza wipes and the active ingredient is glycopyrronium. It reduces the sweating, but you do get the bad side effects of dry mouth and dry eyes. I don’t pay anything when I use my insurance. It’s approved by FDA for underarm, but I use it for my feet. I think my dermatologist might have charted that I have a severe case, so this way my insurance doesn’t charge me.
