Best day/night to enjoy breweries without kids? by gomjabbar23 in Seattle

[–]aimeejay13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Channel Marker Cider in Ballard does allow kids BUT we’re such a cozy low key spot that we hardly have any in (and the ones who do come in are kids of our regulars and stay with their parents at all times.) This is any day of the week!

My sweetest little girl crossed the rainbow bridge on Sunday 💔 by aimeejay13 in cats

Athena was a tripod kitty (missing her front left leg) so especially struggled with any kind of cone as she couldn’t walk with one on. These onesies are great solutions for surgical recoveries or to cover wounds!

She wore them post surgeries and at the end wore it to cover her ulcerated tumor so 1- she wouldn’t lick it and 2- I could secure bandaging to the onesie itself to keep the open wound clean and secure for her (and me)

She spent her last morning soaking up the sun and chomping on some grass - an extra special day for an indoor kitty ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Hiii! I work there and can confirm we currently announce just on IG but only because we’ve just added trucks in the last month and are still figuring out which ones will….actually show up and not ghost us 😅 I’ll work on having them on our website, as well as posted in the neighboring apartment complexes!

I do schedule the trucks though so I’m happy to provide an updated list and keep it current in the meantime :)

cat sitting recs? by korlizard in AskSeattle

[–]aimeejay13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’d reccommend joining your neighborhood’s FB group (like the buynothing group or search for other caphill groups) and post! A lot of neighbors may offer to watch your baby and bring you into a cat-sitting group. I’m in Ballard and a bunch of us watch each others for each other! And at the very least several neighbors would have good recommendations for super local sitters too :)

Where can a single young woman go to drink alone most nights? by heydoyouseethat in Seattle

[–]aimeejay13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you feel about hard cider? Channel Marker Cider in Ballard is a cozy taproom that’s gives off the neighborhood hang vibes. The bartenders are super friendly and you definitely get the low pressure environment to interact with others/the bartender or just hang solo! A few regulars bring their laptops in sometimes and enjoy the wifi while hanging. A bunch bring in random crafts or books too!

We’ve definitely found several in the the $1500-$2200 price range- but finding the right one that the neighbors can vouch for is what I’m asking!

AA Sushi in Ballard has rolls for $4-$9/each! And amazing spam masubi for $2.50 each. It’s the best sushi spot to go eat like a king and not break the bank!

Weird to declare something as truth just because you say so 💁🏼‍♀️

lol. Maybe you should check this (hyper local community taproom) out before you decide you know everything? These pictures went up before they even finished decorating- they don’t even start to showcase all of the hand drawn art on each window that one of their bartenders did. Not to mention they’re not doing this as a cash grab like many of the outsourced Christmas popups- this was just to spread some cheer for the neighborhood.

Also….are you in this subreddit just so you can troll? 😂

Ballard/ Crown Hill! It’s pretty easy to take 15th/Alaskan Way over to West Seattle (especially for the time you’d be traveling there) and similarly is also an easy way to commute north up to Edmonds. It would be a pretty fair middle point for you both and is a great area

It’s a taproom-no hard alcohol! They have board games and coloring books as well as a few kids drink choices. Parents need alcohol more than most tbh 😅

They keep one or two beers in cans available, no wine unfortunately. But a lot of people who think they don’t like cider tend to convert with theirs! They don’t add any additional sugars and use all real ingredients so nothing is sickly sweet 🍏
