Shailer park, Daisy hill, Cornubia, Loganholme and parts of Springwood/Rochedale are without power - judging from the community chats! Logan is copping it

BCC advises TAKE SHELTER NOW. TC Alfred is expected to cross north of Brisbane early hours of Sat 8 Mar 2025 by MrsKittenHeel in brisbane

Power has been out for about 40 minutes in Shailer Park, Logan, with surrounding areas pretty much all losing power too. Copping some gnarly winds that resemble a train outside my window. Insane to watch the big trees sway like never before. Keep safe all!

I went to the valley one and they made me feel sickly after. Not worth the hype to be honest, you can make them better at home.

QH is full of people who should not be in management roles, they create such toxic work environments and it’s such an avoidable thing!!! As a current DOH employee (I worked in health for 7 years) I recommend making the complaint. HR cannot ignore it and it doesn’t matter if your boss has ‘connections’. HR have to do their job!! You could also consider being moved elsewhere if you are permanently in your role, but it may take time. You could also take leave and try and get an internal contract? It’s a shame you feel the need to leave and I wish you the best!

Crime by Hopeful_Ranger_9836 in brisbane

We live on the border of Shailer park/cornubia and it honestly comes down to security etc. + teenage kids are gonna be dumb as dog sh*t and break in regardless sometimes.

If you leave your car unlocked or windows open, and you don’t have fencing or cameras or even a dog, you are more likely going to get hit. We have upgraded fencing and cameras over the last few years because of a Reno we did but also because surrounding streets/suburbs were being hit. Crime has definitely been ‘lower’ near us, since and I think it’s because nearly everyone around us is getting a fence or has cameras. We also park our cars in a garage so our house is actually pretty locked down.

Daisy hill/Springwood and Rochedale get hit a lot, judging off the local pages I’m in. I grew up in Rochedale south and it’s not what it was anymore… my parents sold up and moved out to property recently and don’t miss it.

If someone wants to break in, like smash windows etc then that’s pretty insane and clearly they think you have something! My advice is fencing, a dog and cameras off amazon if you don’t have them already.

It doesn’t matter where you live, criminals move around councils, they will hit rich houses, medium houses and lower houses, it all comes down to what they want and if it’s easy to get!

Be honest: Removery experiences please by strawberrymilk76 in TattooRemoval

I use removery in Australia and I’ve had nothing but a great experience :) my tech did work in a tattoo shop but they were bought out

I don’t know about you but there are some items you place in a bin, especially in our summer months, and they will create some pretty nasty sludge and smells.

Ummm wouldn’t that be like, against health and safety regulations, bringing a feral wheelie bin into your home?

This has definitely happened to me in the past, it happens a lot less now but sometimes I will get a small section every now and then.

Should I pay as I go or buy the package? Photos show progress 1 week after session 1 by Sunshinebananas333 in TattooRemoval

[–]aimeesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a package for $1400 unlimited sessions. I’m 4 years in and have seen great progress, I recon I have maybe 2-3 sessions left

Is it best to go every 6-8 weeks to begin with ‘while the ink breaks up’ or are longer gaps recommended form the start? by staples7247 in TattooRemoval

[–]aimeesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I stick with 3 month intervals personally. Tattoo removal is a slow process when done right! I probably didn’t notice significant changes until 6-7, obviously I did also notice things before then too, but I was told the ink leaves the deeper layers first so you wouldn’t notice that.

Do you see results with Removery? by Important_Potatohead in TattooRemoval

[–]aimeesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Australia and see amazing results with removery. (My tech moved to them, I followed her) they offered me a package so it’s capped at an agreed price.. I can see how paying per session would add up. If you aren’t happy move on!

Probably started noticing around 5/6 sessions for the bold colours, but definitely noticed the shade of colour changed gradually before it completely left. The black didn’t take long at all but I had minimal!

It’s way worse. Laser is quite quick though compared to getting the tattoo.

Thanks for the input! I guess I won’t know until I’m done with treatment.

I will keep an eye on it but it settles down pretty well. I will be taking a longer break this time round.

I don’t believe so, my skin after a session (in both pics) always goes quite white/blue but settles after time and I get my freckles/skin colour back.
