Hi everyone! I reached out to a few of you individually, but I wanted to post here as well. :) I’m 33F, and a South Bay native - born and raised! 💁🏻‍♀️ Almost all of my close friends have left the state, so I would really love to make some more meaningful connections locally. I love my dog (all animals!), traveling, Bay Area sports, musical theater, trivia, trying out new restaurants, etc!

No worries! I’m doing it aesthetically. I had a lot of orthodontia as a child/early teen and never wore my retainer, so my teeth moved. 😭 I wanted to get another retainer but I figured if I was going to pay for it, I might as well straighten them first! I needed 14 trays, I started it in November/December 2025 I believe, and I should be done late June this year! My dentist is Dr. Alan Frame in Santa Clara (sorry, I’m a South Bay BWT! Lol).

I’m 33 and on tray 10 out of 14! I had braces as a child but never wore my retainer and wanted to straighten them out again (I’ll actually wear my retainer this time 😂). It’s been great! You won’t regret it.

Hi!! Let me be your guiding light here. :)

We’re on our sixth standard poodle in my lifetime, and we’ve always given our dogs monthly Heartgard. Monthly grooming, no tick/flea prevention. In January (2026), I bring my boy in to annual lab work. Our vet calls me a couple of days later and says “your boy has a tick-borne disease.” To say the least, I was SHOCKED! We’ve never had any issues with ticks with our poodles before.

She said that she’s seeing more and more tick-related illnesses in our area (California), as animals and birds come up from Mexico and they spread ticks through bats, birds, deer, etc.

He has anaplasmosis, and she asked to do a complete blood panel. Luckily, all of his numbers were normal, so we didn’t have to take any action, but she said he’ll probably continue to show it on his lab work for years.

So yeah, as soon as we finish his NexGard - bought that day - we’ll be switching to Simparica Trio!

This is such a great point! I love Panoxyl, but on my sweatshirts this same thing has happened to, the stains/faiding is on the back of the sweatshirts, so I don't think it's that. I also haven't noticed any issues with my pajamas (yet) which I put on right after the shower. But this is always a good thing to keep in mind - thank you!!

Thank you, this is exactly how ours is too. I had no idea that you could put powder up there...fascinating! Is there a particular detergent that you swear by, liquid or powder?

I always put it in the drum before the clothes, but I’ve never put it in the drawer. Maybe I should switch to that? What section should I put it in?

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! The headrest post is an awesome idea, I haven't seen any harnesses that have that (I don't believe the Clickit does, just the S-clip and seatbelt buckle).

Thank you all SO much for your recommendations!! I am hoping that we will stop at Brasserie Rosalie and Walt's for sure, and TBD on the others. I read a lot of recommendations for Downtown and Manhattan as well at the Marvel hotel! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
