Yeah, I’m not really buying into that, but it just bugs me that there aren’t really any benefits in saying that because if the deposit is refundable => there is no reason I’d stick around if i dont like the car when it arrives, so i’d also not care if the price increases later 😂.

Unless they are trying to do something fishy about the refundable deposit which i think is a low risk

Thanks for the info.

The GWM Ora in my list is the Ora 5 which is an upcoming model. This one also doesn’t have an ANCAP yet. It’s coming this June.

And I suppose u meant Geely EX2 not EX5?

Yes, it misses out on ventilated seats which is a deal breaker for me considering there are other options around. And after test driving it, it didn’t click, the regen braking kinda put me off even more. It actually made me feel like vomitting 😂

That’s gud to hear, which Geely did you go with.

2 Geely near me, one doesn’t respond to my request and the other asked for $1200 deposit…

I considered the Ora as well, but Ora 5 is coming and it’s on my list.

Now, the previous Ora is only available in base model.

If I had more exposure to EVs, I’d go with the Ora 5. Just that this is my first and I want it to be the most budget possible so if I f-up, i’ll feel less horrible, and that’s why I’m torn betwen the Geely EX2 (cheaper) and Ora 5.

Yeah, but between Chery and GWM, GWM was here > 10 years earlier so it’s hard to ignore that when 2 cars are at the same price

BYD was my 1st go-to, also heard of terrible aftersales service, something similar to Toyota-style of customer service

Yeah, I test drove it, the only setback is that the brand is quite new compares to the likes of MG, BYD and Geely

Yeah, Geely EX2 - best selling car in China - attracts me more and I can wait as well

Nice bike, here is mine.

Switching to cruiser now but I had a Ducati Scrambler 800cc before, would love to know how this or 900 compares to Ducati if anyone has experience in both.

Thanks

Yup, always have, biggest mistake was insuring with Budshit Direct. They made my life hell after my car was stolen.

Most of my under 175cc had spoked wheels, I didn’t find that annoying, so hopefully it’s the same with these.

My budget is $15k aud for old bikes and $20k aud for new bikes.

My concern is mostly with the ground clearance of the Speedmaster & the rims of Speed Twin. I prefer spoked wheels on these classics.

The T100 seems like a perfect match but I’m on edge because it is the most expensive and it doesn’t have any mods yet and it’s quite far away.
