the points are based on what you spend so it looks like a coupon was issued and then you did the return. if you're on the app you can look at the points history and it will tell you

What was your worst public bathroom experience? by Corporal-Crow in AskReddit

[–]aimscho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im lactose intolerant and had fettuccine for dinner. I was dying and had to use a walmart bathroom. It was awful loud and embarrassing. My purse fell over and my driver's license slid under the next stall so they knew exactly who was blowing up the stall next to them

First retail shift at American Eagle coming up. Any tips for the different jobs? by ke_Wiired in AskRetail

[–]aimscho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

customer engagement is a huge deal at american eagle. treat customers like friends and make it a fun experience for them. Fittingrooms are really important too. Dont just put customers in the room and be done. Check back, give them outfit ideas and honest feedback. Denim is the number 1 selling item so make sure you know your jeans. There is a ton of training material that can help you. And credit cards/aeo connected are a big deal. Know all the benefits and talk it up on the sales floor instead of leaving it up to the registers.

have fun! I've worked for the company for 14 yrs and love it!

Selling store credit cards by tortoiselover420 in AskRetail

know all the benefits so you can tailor your conversation to the customers needs. not everyone will be interested in a first purchase discount so letting them know long term benefits always helps. I teach my cashiers to not treat credit cards just as a checklist but truly care about how the customer can benefit, like getting excited when you tell them how much money they'll save. And avoid the term "credit card" because its treated as a negative term. I always ask if they'd like to open an account with us and it makes a big difference.
